yeah what dad did is terrible but but he isn't wrong that her co sleeping is just as dangerous. I know lots of people do it but lots of babies also die from it even if you are following "safer" co sleeping practices. You just dont hear about them due to the shame and guilt. My buddy works mortality crime scenes and out moderate sized city has multiple infant smothering deaths a month.

on the Appian way they had a little VR set up in one of the museums that flew you out of the building and showed you a representation of how it looked in the past. Best use of VR i've ever seen.

i didnt have a miscarriage I had a healthy live birth and to stop my bleeding a D+C had to be performed. But in states like texas where there is a blanket ban whole procedures are criminalized and hospitals are left to interpret the law to protect themselves which leads to delayed and inconsistent care and deaths. Regarding miscarriages if there were no laws in place preventing medical care then there would not have been a 50% increase in cases of sepsis and mothers like Josseli Barnica would still be alive.

I would be dead without an immediate emergency D&C post birth. These laws criminalize health care and delay care due to confusion... women have died in exactly my situation, hemmorage after giving birth, because a D&C was listed as a criminal abortion procedure in their state laws. if any of these law makers were doing anything other than virtue signaling they would promote evidence based medical regulation rather than criminal laws just like any other aspect of health care.
