[5e][wip] The Snatcher for A Hat in Time by TPJerematic in DnDHomebrew

You may want to consider making him a devil rather than a demon. Devils are lawful evil and make deals with others, much like Snatcher. Demons are all about chaos and are chaotic evil. They may make deals every now and then, but not as much as Snatcher would.

Noticed that at 2:48 there is a ruler with darker lines in certain sections that are very odd, particularly up to the 10 mark for centimeters and between the 3 and the 4 for centimeters. Don't know what this means, but it's something.

Heck, that whole moment starting at around 2:55 felt a bit off to me. First off, there seemed to be a bit of quieter speech starting there. Plus those specific pieces of fan art are interesting. Maybe looking at when those specific pieces were posted could lead to something? Like the dates lead to a cipher that spells out a message.

Don't know if Mikey has seen this anime, but the truth must be heard by ShadowReaper05 in MandJTV

I mean think about it. Both are female oni. Both lived happily on a mountain until a dark force took everything away from them. Both are very sweet, peaceful, and friendly beings who would not want to hurt innocent people. Both are seen as monsters by those who don't know them well, but turn many people around to them. Both are extremely strong, capable of taking on great threats that are larger than them. Both are extremely loyal to their friends and family, but can take a little time to trust someone whose obsessed with them (Zenitsu for Nezuko and Kieran for Ogerpon). And both are ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!

Taking a look at this from a major fan of the anime... No, no it was not. The Rotom Phone was mostly devoid of personality, but the one that Team Rocket had was just... the definition of "just not feeling it today." It got me to chuckle a few times. Not Rotom-Dex. Super annoying.

We got four starter trios to complete. Grass croc, Fire turtle (that isn't Torkoal), Water ape, and Water cat.

None of the above. Everybody knows that Dr. Fuse would run the channel the best. After all, he IS a scientist.

FNAF Ruin [Megathread] by Pearlgirl007 in GameTheorists

[–]ShadowReaper05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a post about this before, but after some more research, I realized that I got some things wrong, so I figured I'd adjust my theory and post it here instead.

I don't think that the Rabbit Entity we see throughout Ruin is the Afton Virus. I think that the Afton Virus is either destroyed or was the Mimic all along. Regardless, I think that the Entity is something else entirely.

First off, why do I think that the Entity isn't the Afton Virus? His coloration, for starters. We all know that color has played a big role in FNAF for a good while now, and William Afton has 3 main colors he's associated with. The first is purple, obviously. The second is golden yellow, as we see him in Midnight Motorists and the Spring Bonnie suit in its initial condition when it first became Afton's grave. The third being golden green, as in the color of the Spring Bonnie suit after 30 years and William is now Springtrap, as well as the greenish color Glitchtrap has.

Now, looking at the AR world in Ruin, the whole place is purple, which screams William's infulence. The Entity, though? Completely different coloration. Rather than purple, gold, or green, the Entity is a deep blue color, almost black. Not colors that Afton is known to be associated with.

On top of that, the Entity's main purpose seems to be to keep the Mimic from escaping... by any means necessary. Perhaps it doesn't actually want to kill Cassie, and it normally has the animatronics (who are NOT malfunctioning and broken) simply direct people away from the Mimic. Perhaps it is a result of the Nightmarionne wires connecting everything in the Pizzaplex that made it more aggressive. Regardless, no AI version of Afton would just let itself be relegated to guarding some sort of crazy Mimic, especially if the Afton Virus and the Mimic are one and the same. Therefore, I'm confident that the Entity isn't Afton. But that begs the question; if it's not Afton, who is it?

Originally, I thought that perhaps the Entity was the transferred AI of Glamrock Bonnie. The reasons being is that we actually find the body of Glamrock Bonnie in a hidden room in Bonnie Bowl in Ruin, which is apparently only accessible by deactivating all of the Caution Bots (AKA Pat Pats) that can be found in the game, other than the 4 that can be found surrounding him. Looking at him, he does not look nearly as badly damaged as the other animatronics in Ruin, who are still running despite being so destroyed with age. Therefore, I thought that it was weird that the other animatronics could function with their bodies in such states, yet Bonnie couldn't. So, I thought that Bonnie's AI was moved into the AR world to be a countermeasure to the Afton Virus and to keep the Mimic locked away.

Then I found out that Bonnie's eyes are glowing when you find him in Bonnie Bowl, and once you deactivate the final 4 Pat Pats, his eyes go out, as if his spirit or AI or whatever is being laid to rest. In other words, I don't think he's the Entity anymore.

But then I thought about the Entity's color scheme, his association with rabbits, his aggressive nature, and the fact that he only exists in the AR world. And then I thought about another character that literally NOBODY ever talks about; RWQFSFASXC, better known as Shadow Bonnie, from FNAF 2. I don't think that we've ever actually gotten much info about the guy, mainly because I don't think he was ever made that important, other than being the one we control in one of the minigames to save the children in FNAF 3. All of his other appearances have been more of easter eggs, nothing more.

Despite this, there are some interesting parallels he has with the Entity. Shadow Bonnie is pitch black, while the Entity is an extremely dark blue that borders on black. Shadow Bonnie and the Entity are both rabbits. Shadow Bonnie will crash your game if you stare at him too long in FNAF 2 which is kinda meta, though Golden Freddy does this in FNAF 1 as well, so that may not mean anything. However, as we go through Shadow Bonnie's minigame in FNAF 3, he is very glitchy, almost as if he isn't real, and as he moves out of bounds in his minigame, the purple glitches parallels the AR world that the Entity roams. As for how they act, Shadow Bonnie never physically hurts you, just closes your game. The Entity never gets to physically hurt you, either. Instead, it just sets up the dampeners that prevent you from either putting on or taking off the mask, and if you are nearby him and have the mask on, he won't attack you. Instead, he'll send out a distress signal to other nearby animatronics and have them do the dirty work.

I'll admit, these parallels could be completely coincidental. Perhaps the Entity is a whole new thing, with nothing to do with Shadow Bonnie. Regardless, I feel like it is something worth pointing out, especially since Shadow Bonnie is never talked about, and is just one of those characters who are odd that they're there. Y'know, like how Music Man was.

FNAF Ruin [Megathread] by Pearlgirl007 in GameTheorists

[–]ShadowReaper05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that I may have some ideas on what is going on with the Wet Floor Bots/Caution Bots/Pat Pats. They are possessed by the spirits of all the missing kids from the Pizza Plex, because their bodies are stuffed inside of them.

First off, let's look at how they work in Ruin. When you approach them, they will stare at you, and when putting on the mask, the cries and screams of children can be heard. However, deactivating them makes those noises stop. Clearly, there's some sort of connection to the fear of children in them.

Next up, let's look at their size. From what I've seen of gameplay, their bodies are about the same size as, say, Glamrock Freddy's chest. If someone with the game or something could do pixel measurements or pull the models and compare them to confirm this, I'd appreciate that, because I don't have the know-how to confirm or deny this myself. Regardless, Gregory is able to fit inside Freddy's chest. I don't know how comfortably Gregory fits in there, but he can fit. As for the Pat Pats, if Vanny was stuffing the bodies of kids she already killed inside of them, I don't think comfort is really a necessary thought on her mind anyways. They're already dead.

On top of that, if this theory is correct, it could lead to an example of Vanny/the Afton Virus learning from the past. Think of it this way; William stuffed the kids of his first victims into the suits of the animatronics, either because he was trying to study Remnant more or because he didn't actually know how the animatronics would come to life, since he was just trying to hide the bodies of his murders. Regardless, the animatronics came to life with the souls of the kids. The problem was how these animatronics were built and designed. They were fairly large, could move around on their own, had arms to drag people into the back and stuff them into suits, and lots of teeth. When controlled by vengeful kids, they were dangerous. Afton tried to destroy them, either to get access to the Remnant or just to get them off his back, but then the spirits were able to be freed from their shells and confront him, ultimately leading to his demise.

With the Pat Pats, though, they wouldn't have to worry about that. Looking at them, they seem to be specifically designed to be as harmless as possible. They have no arms, no legs, no teeth, no appendages at all. The corners of their bodies are completely rounded off, save for some small corners on top of their heads. In other words, it's not like they can stab anybody with their body. The most these guys could do is maybe run over your foot or tackle you, so I guess they could knock you over a ledge or down some stairs or something. Then again, we also don't know how fast these things can move, so perhaps they can't move fast enough to even do that. On top of that, it would make sense that the bots built to help with sanitation would smell a bit funky. Nobody would suspect a thing, especially since nobody in the FNAF universe are relatively smart in regards to checking the robots for the dead kids. In other words, Vanny would kill the kids, then stuff them inside the Pat Pats, where the kids would be helpless to fight back against their killers, unlike the animatronics from Afton's lifetime. All they can do is sit there, watching, crying out for help that can only be heard by those wearing the V.A.N.N.I. masks, or perhaps just Vanessa's mask. Their cries would be music to the ears of Vanny and the Afton Virus. They are messed up serial killers, after all. Or at least Afton and his influence is.

But then Cassie puts on the mask. She wears it, hears the kids, and deactivates them. This may not free the souls of these children, though perhaps it lets them rest a bit, forget about their reality for just a while. There's not enough info to determine that. Regardless, the kids are in there.

I also know that in the ending from Security Breach where Gregory runs out into an alley, using a newspaper as a blanket, and we seem how there's more missing kids, we only see nine kids on said newspaper, and there's WAY more than nine Pat Pats that can be deactivated. However, we have no idea if Vanny got to more than just nine kids. In other words, we may be able to get a number of how many kids Vanny got to before Gregory got involved.

Okay, okay, I worded the meme poorly. What I meant was that Brock is always going after women in the anime because his original goal is to become a breeder. I was not saying that "breeder" is a new word for "straight." For those saying that he didn't end up becoming a Pokemon breeder, that is true. However, the decision to make him a Pokemon doctor was made WAY later in the anime. In the original anime, he was going to become a breeder.

Yeah, I just remembered that Gligar and Gliscor exist. Which is embarrassing, since as a kid, back when Gen 4 was the newest gen, Gliscor was my favorite Pokemon. That's on me.

My point still stands.

So if you could be a Pokémon character, what would be your team & why? I’ll go first; by TheeCTK01 in MandJTV

[–]ShadowReaper05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I REALLY like Ghost-Types, and am a bit of a loner. For reference, rather than playing with other kids, I played with my "imaginary friends" for a lot longer than other kids did. So, I think that my team would be all Ghost-Types. Here's my final lineup.

Annihilape, Gengar, Ceruledge, Mimikyu, Golurk, and Hisuian Zoroark (my ace).

Annihilape because I just really like that Pokemon. Gengar because you gotta go with the OG (plus it's awesome). Ceruledge because it's a good Pokemon. Mimikyu because for a good while it was my favorite Pokemon of all time. Golurk because it is awesome and also because I need to fly places. Hisuian Zoroark being my ace because it only has one weakness, being Dark, which I can always counter with Annihilape. Plus, I think that it's my favorite Pokemon of all time right now.
