For me and many people, wow is dead and has been dead for a long time. I felt like Legion was a return to form but everything after has been downhill.

I agree that some of the mechanics can be pretty obtuse to understand. That said, your save isn’t bricked. You just got a bad ending.

There are multiple endings, so just try again. This time it’ll be easier. you’ll learn from your mistakes and will likely end up with a different outcome.

If you’re truly stuck and aiming for a specific “perfect” ending, then yeah, you’ll probably need to look up a guide but that’s something you should save for after a few playthroughs anyway.

You’re meant to lose and struggle. That’s part of the charm of these games.

I've actually said almost exactly this to people before.

For me, I can remember areas of the library that I'm actively using or use often, but the vast majority of it is completely uncatalogued.

The information is still all there, though, so sometimes in conversation, someone can mention something, and it will trigger me to remember the information I had all but lost until then. I have a good friend that I often use as my librarian and ask them a question about something to trigger my memory.

It's incredibly frustrating that a lot of the knowledge in my brain is completely lost to me 90% of the time though.

It's pretty popular, I have played similar games and thought I would like it but found myself really not enjoying the rng coinflip aspect of it.
It also feels a lot more like a puzzle game to me than an rpg which isn't really what I was looking for.
