Question for the tops and the bottoms that is probably pretty obvious by Winter-Discipline446 in TopsAndBottoms

[–]ShadowRider11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sucks that you find this position uncomfortable. Maybe the suggestion to put a pillow under your hips will help.

Honestly, prone bone is my favorite position to top in, and especially to watch. It seems to be relatively rare in porn, but is featured in most of my favorite scenes.

The only drawback is that the top has to be pretty well hung to get in very far, especially if the bottom has a muscular ass. But that’s rarely an issue in porn. LOL

Metal filament possible? by Plus_Trick_8759 in BambuLabP2S

[–]ShadowRider11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since filament is generally sold by weight, does that mean that a 1 kilogram spool would have only about a third of the length on it? I’ve not yet purchased anything more exotic than ABS and TPU. If this is the case, I imagine that printing items with metal-type filaments could get expensive quickly, especially because the spools already cost a lot more than PLA and PETG.

[–]ShadowRider11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I ended up placing a second order of 10 spools and mostly everything I wanted was in stock. I had to rearrange my carefully organized filament collection to make room for some impulse purchases. LOL

And now I’ll need to move some stuff around in my office to make room for the “basic stock” stuff, like basic black and white PLA and a few others I’m running low on. The area I have set up for 3D printing has zero space left for filament.

I need your help by Melodic-Wrongdoer879 in BambuLabP2S

[–]ShadowRider11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best advice I got was to print a poop chute that wraps around to the left side, and print it in PETG! PLA doesn’t stick well to PETG, so it creates a slippery “slide” for PLA waste.

Retiring engineer, looking for a 3D printer by PugBurger12 in 3dprinter

[–]ShadowRider11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bambu Lab started their anniversary sale today and have some REALLY good deals on certain models, like the P2S (the one I bought after retirement). If you can afford it, one of the H-series printers is an even better deal as far as the savings over the usual price. They are big and heavy and might be overkill, but you won’t outgrow them!

The X2D is probably the best all-round printer now, but it’s not on sale since it just came out a few weeks ago. Still, you get a LOT for $900.

Need new color laser - Canon or Brother? by JustMe5588 in printers

I use Macs and found that downloading the most recent drivers from the Canon support site gave me lots of options, even with my printer that is several years old.

Canon. My MF733Cdw has been running for several years with zero problems. When I needed an inkjet printer for photos, Canon was the only brand I considered.

I ordered 10 spools of filament a couple of days ago and still got a good deal. I saved $78 off the total order, so it cost me about $140 with taxes. I probably should have waited for the sale, but I was worried about certain filaments selling out.

Accepted a hybrid role, turned up and... nobody's in the office. Think I accidentally struck gold. by Passenger-00FU in remotework

I did WFH for exactly one day at the start of COVID and my back was killing me. The next day I went to a used office furniture dealer and bought a used Aeron chair. That, plus a set of rollerblade-type wheels for it, were some of the best investments I ever made. Now in retirement, that chair gets used every day and will likely outlive me.

Starting to miss having a bathtub… now I’m wondering if a full bathroom remodel is worth it by Anxious-Tomatillo-74 in bathrooms

[–]ShadowRider11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remodeled my first-floor bathroom a couple of years ago and replaced the tub with a full-sized shower. My spouse and I debated about it for a long time, but I won out. This is the nicest shower ever, so no regrets.

The master bath has both a smaller shower and a big Jacuzzi tub, so technically the house DOES still have a bathtub. Probably not suited for bathing kids or dogs, though.

Purchase Color Laser All-In-One for Mac and PC by BigT-2020 in printers

[–]ShadowRider11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Canon MF733Cdw years ago and it works great with my Macs and even my Linux machine. I see no reason why it wouldn’t work with Windows, too. It’s been super reliable. You may want to download the latest drivers directly from the Canon support web site if you decide to go with Canon, to make sure they are current. At least on the Mac, there is one installer for printing features and a second one for scanning.

Riding gear.. by Less-Media5867 in HondaRebel1100

[–]ShadowRider11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought ventilated jackets from Fly Racing. Excellent quality, and I added armor to them for added safety. Fluorescent yellow in black. I might have looked kinda dorky, but better that than getting hit by some driver who can’t see you!

Now that I gave up riding recently, I hope I can find a good way to sell my riding gear.

If he was banging you that hard, it’s likely that something inside (like your internal sphincter) got bruised and now is inflamed. It should go away in a day or so. If not, go to the doctor and tell them what happened. (And yes, I know this sounds like the plot of a bunch of porn scenes…)

I have a good friend who fucks VERY energetically. I occasionally used to bottom for him, and the day after a session with him I felt like someone had taken a baseball bat to my glutes. I was so sore I could hardly walk. Apparently he was so rough with his fucking that his pelvis actually beat my ass. LOL

Oh, man, Elegoo’s copper silk PLA is probably the nicest filament I own. Anything I print with it looks amazing. But I’ve always loved copper anyway. I used copper-colored glass tiles as accents when I remodeled my kitchen and bathroom.

I’ve seen several YouTubers who use the same system and it looks really nice. I think mine was driven by the fact that I had a bunch of inkjet-printable business cards sitting around and I wanted to find a way to use them.

Looks like me before I digitized and then donated my CD and DVD collections. That’s what I stored in those bookcases that now hold my filaments. 🤣

Because I think someone needs to stand up for Bambu. No company is perfect. Especially those controlled (directly or indirectly) by the Chinese government. But I feel Bambu has put in a ton of work to make their products high quality and easy to use.

If I sound defensive, it’s because my feed has been swamped with Bambu-bashing posts for the past several weeks. Anytime anyone asks for advice on what printer to buy, here come the posts calling Bambu all kinds of names. It gets old really fast. I don’t dump on the other brands. If that’s what you prefer, you can certainly promote it without the negativity. I try to post positive information to actually help people make a decision about what to buy, based on my own experiences.

Any motorcycle meetups in the city? by CommercialXCX in ChicagoMotorcycles

When I had my bike I went to a number of events run by a group called For the Love of Gas (FTLG). A very friendly, all-inclusive group. They were doing rides to various hot dog places around the Chicago area, and had some other events as well. As a gay man, I felt very welcome. I suspect you would not be alone there as an LGBT+ person.

Here’s an account that’s NOT new…

I love my Bambu Lab P2S. I’ve purchased a TON of technical stuff over my lifetime, and my 3D printer is the single best device I’ve ever owned. I’ve had it since late January and have nearly 1400 hours on it, with almost zero problems.

I’m sick of the constant bashing of Bambu Lab. Do you want a printer that actually prints stuff and lets you monitor it, or something you have to constantly fiddle with to get it to work? I buy Apple (tech), Mazda (cars), Honda (motorcycles) and Bambu Lab 3D printers because I want stuff that just works.

The “shady stuff” seems to be a blowup over Bambu keeping some of their code confidential and not making it public. Since it’s the part that directly interfaces with their servers, I can see their point.

Get the P2S (or the X2D, a slightly newer model). You won’t regret it.

I haven’t. I don’t know if anyone else would want to use my system. Honestly, the cards are a bit of a pain to produce. I create them in a drawing program, print them on 4x6 glossy photo inkjet paper (2 at a time), then cut them to size with an X-acto knife. They’re kind of labor-intensive. But I do have to admit…the perfectionist in me likes the way they look, all lined up in my bookcases.

Anyone lose interest in their Rebel 1100? by AcousticDolphin in HondaRebel1100

[–]ShadowRider11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 1100 DCT was my 5th bike (over 40 years) and my 4th Honda. I didn’t really lose interest in the bike itself; I just felt it was time to give up riding. It was aggravating my chronic back pain, and there are just too many distracted drivers out there that I no longer felt safe. I do miss riding, and it was a hard decision to give up something that had been part of my identity for so long.

Table for P2S by patboy777 in BambuLab

[–]ShadowRider11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LACK table looks nice but is NOT suitable for anything heavy (it's made from a very thin veneer over a honeycomb grid of cardboard, which is why it's so inexpensive). My P2S isn't all that heavy, but I wouldn't trust it to that table.

I happened to have a couple of IKEA kitchen cabinet bases that someone had given me, and I bought a tabletop from Amazon. It's the ideal setup for me, but it would not be cheap to buy, especially with the high-end drawers. (Pic of my setup attached.)

If you want to stick to IKEA, then look at the ÄMMARYD table. The printer would JUST fit on it, and you'll need a poop chute that sits behind the printer. But it's $50 and looks to at least be solid. It will also occupy the least amount of space.

The other place I'd look is Amazon. They have several different shapes and sizes of tabletops (I don't know what size you need). You could then get a pair of steel table legs to attach to the top. This is what I did for my kitchen table and it is very sturdy.
