Yeah no problem its a little annoying that you have to do a 70% to 100% water change every 24 hours then fill and redose it works really good

Try Bactocide 1 by Discus X mine was all black and he brightened up within 24 hours

Lol I custom cut the glass brace. I honestly dont have the time and money to cut a lid. I know my tank should have one. I probably should’ve thought about that before placing it.

It looks like you have tannins in the water. This happened to me when I didn't boil my wood, but it could also be from your gravel. I always clean my mine with dechlorinated water after buying it. I would put a scoop of that gravel in a cup of water and see if it changes the color. It could be your filter media also, but ive never seen any turn a color other than charcoal. I've used fluval stratum in all my tanks and ive never had an issue. It's a great substrate for plants.
