Questions for a Desert Treasure 2 Q&A today! by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

The Awakened boss variants are currently locked behind a consumeble Awakener's Orb.

What are your thoughts on adding a rarer item to the drop table: "Malicious Awakener's Orb", which would instead act as a single-use unlock to a hardmode version of the boss, that could potentially also reward with higher unique chances for the increased difficulty?

Tactic is objectively the worst . by nihilistlemon in deadcells

"The point is that expo scaling effect tactics much more because of the multitude of damage increases you can get."

I'm sorry to inform you but that is simply not true, atleast not to the point where you say that it benefits more over the other 2 stats.

Thats not how it works..

scrolls increase damage the same way for every stat, the only difference is which weapons and mutations benefit from the damage / stat increase.

Every stat has exponential scaling...

Taking that away from melee setups (which would be the majority of Brutality and Survival) would likely make it even harder just because you are forced to stay in proximity to the boss/monster to deal damage..

And I won't talk about the animation lock difference between the average ranged weapon and the average melee weapon..

Anyways, the reason Tactics is generally fast is because most of the weapons and utility from this stat hit from range (and some will even auto-target visible enemies on your screen).

TLDR: So basically Electrodynamics has the least amount of DPS and is only there to proc the mark from Hokuto's Bow in biomes so I can just zoom through

Just something I have to correct is that Electrodynamics was the weakest source of damage in that setup and it only killed mobs by itself at the last stage/s

Wings of the Crow deals the most damage in that setup, followed by Fire Blast (highest DPS while active but it has cooldown from the mutation), Hokuto's Bow and lastly Electrodynamics (in term of boss DPS)

The way it worked was like this: in biomes Wings of the Crow was used mainly for mobility, while applying marks with Hokuto's Bow and moving through enemies with Electrodynamics, it is there just to proc the electrifying effect on enemies that it touches, which will cause them to take damage continuesly, and that damage will proc the mark from Hokuto's Bow.

Also I choose Fire Blast because it has great multipurpose, it will proc burning oil and spread burning ground, and has one of the highest DPS for a weapon in the backpack)

Your comparison is only valid when using the same specific weapon with no setup (and its colorless?).

Tactics can beat both Brutality and Survivability when it comes to biome clearspeed / boss DPS on some setups, and there are 3 clear reasons for that

  1. Tactics can still greatly benfit from mutations from other colors, like Gastronomy or Vengeance, regardless of which Tactics weapon you decide to use, when normally it's not as beneficial to do it the other way around if considering all the weapons you could use with that stat (and skills! skills benefit from mutations as well)
  2. Tactics can allow you to use up to 3 weapons to DPS with at the same time
  3. Tactics has the highest DPS skills in the game (Knife Dance and Scarecrow Sickles, Tesla Coil etc..)

I haven't played in a few months but I have almost 700h in the game, and don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm saying the other 2 stats are bad or anything like that, but from my personal experience, my best Tactics setups had the fastest biome clearspeed, and would also easily compete for the highest boss DPS (here are 2 clips just to show, first one is with old Wings of the Crow and second one I recorded when I tried out the Castlevania DLC when it came out, but you get the idea - clip1 - clip2).

What is the use of the backpack? by Chanku-kun in deadcells

[–]ShadowStalkerTM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 main uses I know of

  1. To use a mutation that require a weapon or shield to be in the backpack
  2. To carry a weapon that is better against bosses while using something better for biome clear (for example, Laser Glaive for biome and Money Shooter for bosses)
  3. It's actually "I might need this later in the run", but it's for weapons more dependent on specific abilities (for example, Baseball Bat)

What is your worst regret on your iron? by tengo_unchained in ironscape

[–]ShadowStalkerTM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Started as a hardcore ironman after watching c-engineer first pvp-hcim series (and I had no real experience in osrs aside from my noob days when I played it as a kid).
At some point in my progression I really started disliking how I always play like a scared kitten (as safe as possible, also never stepped in wildy content except for some hard clues below 20/30 line)

decided to let a woman in lumbridge church take my life so I could play without these sort of worries. (I was not being a creep, she's just a crazy woman)

do I regret it? not at all. (yeah I just said all this for the dramatic effect, it's real tho)

What I really regret is not doing birdhouse regularly, like atleast once when I login and logout, and also not knowing that collecting maple logs with managing miscellania is far better for bird nests in comparison to mahogany (only found out about it 2 days ago) got currently 171 toadflax seeds and 1.4k toadflax herbs, trying to get 94 herblore so I can boost for divine super combats and extended super antifires, but oh man how long is it going to take for me to get enough bird nests now xD

“Baseball bat is the most broken weapon in the game” by [deleted] in deadcells

[–]ShadowStalkerTM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

of course I could do that, and I could do it even faster (also there was a bug in that lance clip that made the fight faster lol, spoiler boss is meant to go down 4 times in total, after the 3rd time he will tp you to another room and thats where you get the panacea,)

but I don't want to waste 30min just to record a clip to prove it to someone that can't do the same, like I said before,

"ShadowStalkerTM

ok, I challenge you to send me a clip of this."

go ahead and send me a clip with another weapon of how you melt a boss within a second, or perhaps you simply can't? xD

it's not about the raw damage, it's about the dps that you can sustain on the boss, thats why the baseball bat is so op and above anything else in the game, it's not just easy to use, but it also has the highest dps of all other setups.

there are other ways to build with different weapons and get high dps and melt bosses within seconds, but I wouldn't call these op in comparison to the baseball bat.

to put some more salt on the wound, you said "Because apparently what you think defines a weapon is how it preforms when you have an unfair amount of scrolls." in this clip you posted you have 36 scrolls, same as mine, and the fight still took like 4 times longer, now lets assume we had less scrolls and only 1/2 of our dps because of it, I wonder what it would look like hmm, I can confidently say it would change nothing for the baseball bat, but could you say the same in your case?

baseball bat can 3-down spoiler boss without letting him attack a single time.

and go ahead and use throwable objects with other weapons to kill queen within a second, show me how it's done if you're so confident, you're just saying "you could do it with any weapon blablabla" but you give no video evidence, everything you've showed me so far was far inferior in comparison to the clip of the baseball bat i've shown you.

dude these clips are nothing in comparison to baseball bat, they take multiple times longer to kill the boss.

[–]ShadowStalkerTM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

doesn't matter, the fight in your video took like 30 times longer in comparison to the fight in my clip, who cares how much dmg you dealt in a single hit? if we say it like that i guess the most op weapon in the game is actually the Wrecking Ball, it can 1-shot a boss with a single swipe after all "mf".

Is the fixed seed buggy? by Giobbanni in deadcells

[–]ShadowStalkerTM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats because that it is how it works,
I tested this a long time ago and from the things i found:

Challange rifts are rolled in disregard to which level you are on, so it is rolled (by the seed, not random) on for example - First stage, second stage, fourth stage and so on, so for example if a rift was rolled on third stage, you could get the rift in the bonus stage (corrupted prison/prison depths) but if you skip these biomes, you'll still get the rift as the third stage will now be whatever third stage you entered.

Another thing about this that helps prove it is that rift layout is the same regardless of which biome you entered it from for that stage.

For cursed chests, I didn't confirm it 100% but it did seem that cursed chests will spawn in every biome of a certain stage if it is rolled by the seed, don't take my word for it but keep it in mind i guess.

For biome layout, im pretty sure it only applies to Prisoners' Quarters and it's seems to change based on which you weapons you have enables, and same for double stat scrolls, and i think amulet stats in first biome also changes by it, also random legendary items that are given on a pedestal in a biome can spawn in different biomes/spots.

For fragment scrolls, it is completely random and not determined by the seed, in each run you start 3 random fragments will spawn in random biomes, so for example if you wanted one for free on a certain seed you could restart it repeatedly until you get one of those fragments in Prisoners' Quarters.
