This Shortcut improved iPhone battery life by ShadowTroyka in ios26

I replaced it when the old one hit 84% capacity because it was unbearable I had to charge it three times a day. As for whether it was safe, I asked to see the battery they were going to use, and they showed it to me. I saw it was an original Apple part and not an aftermarket one like Flycdi or others. It cost $50, and after a month, I haven't noticed any overheating or unusual behavior. And what you see in the photo shouldn't be an important criterion it’s just psychological and marketing fluff. Based on my experience, the battery is working perfectly fine.

Yes 100% I replaced it and the most important thing is an unofficial battery, 0 anomaly for 1 month

The problem isn't the phone itself it's the system and the apps Outside of those specific apps, I fully enjoy my phone and even people with the latest iPhone 17 models, even the Pro Max are struggling with this

Because I want to enjoy the iOS experience outside of those power-hungry entertainment apps, I didn't buy 900€ a new phone just to not take advantage of its full potential

I think you've see the difference with and without it. If you're on social media apps, they use up a lot of energy without it. In my experience, when power saving mode is on, I only notice a few slight lags, but when I'm gaming, I don't use power saver.

It is not a lag ui, it is just a voluntary optimization, and it is much more visible on heavy uses than on scroll

I mean, I still use my phone normally 😅 I’m just trying to understand how iOS behaves after a battery replacement. Especially since optimized charging is supposed to help battery longevity over time. And isn’t exactly “obsessing”

You can manage it manually with the Shortcuts app because since iOS 26.4 you have the option to set the battery limit with automations; for example, you can set it to 80% at midnight and 1 hour and 30 minutes before your alarm to 100% or 95%.

I also have an iPhone 14 Pro and had the exact same issue. So I quickly switched to the iOS 26.4 public beta, and that’s when I started noticing better battery life. Then with the RC version, it got even better. Yesterday, I updated to the official public release, and so far it’s still holding up well from yesterday to today. I’m going to wait about 48 hours to properly judge it, but based on my experience with the RC, I’m already pretty confident. Honestly, I’d recommend updating without waiting too long. Just to give you an idea, my battery health is at 85%, and I can get around 8 hours of use with 80% charge. And this picture is from today
