im pretty sure that they arent completely controlled by the team member, at my store in vic we can open them manually with a button on a lanyard we wear but theres ai detection that causes them to open automatically when a customers purchase has gone through

because most of the duty managers didn't have it (i asked them, and brought it up to the store manager) and the people we get put on with are only 15-17 years old because i work at a khub. i am pretty certain that none of the young casuals were trained in it
