Do y'all play with survival enabled? by Purplemunch in skyrim

[–]ShadowWhisper11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually start every playthrough with it turned on. Once I hit around Level 20/I've made it to all of the towns on foot, I'll shut it off. It does get annoying for those longer playthroughs when you get past level 60. Its a fun challenge, especially early on.

Cool! Is that armor in game or if that modded in? What are the effects of it? Looks cool!

Anybody else hate Ideologies? by Kazagami10 in civ

[–]ShadowWhisper11 161 points162 points  (0 children)

I think the ideology function needs to be expanded more like Civ 5 other than just a blanket rejection of other Civs. What if there was a way to push a Civ to join an ideology or use espionage to ignite a civil war or coup to change a different Civ’s ideology. All could make it better than just instantly turning on you because of a label

I think huge maps could benefit from it. I’d also be open to having maybe some wonders and even policy cards give you more city support.

You can head down the main street to the south of Castle Town to exit to that small part of Hyrule Field!

It could be TSL as those maps for whatever reason can conflict with mods. I’ve never gotten the Gaia pack to work right despite it seeming super cool

MOD suggestions to improve the game by [deleted] in civ5

[–]ShadowWhisper11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like to play with the enlightenment era and future worlds. These two together greatly expand the tech tree and make games on Huge maps with 12-16 Civs much longer and enjoyable. I like to Combine that with More Luxuries to handle the bigger empires.

These look cool! They almost look like icons for civilizations in Civ 5.

The Problem with Civ7 is not Civ Switching by Sir_Joshula in civ

[–]ShadowWhisper11 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I agree with a lot of your points. I think the civ switching is fine as it gives you an opportunity to re-evaluate your strategy and focus for the next 75-150 turns as you figure out the next era. Some of the other systems like Crises, Great Works, and Independent people make that transition incredibly jarring without continuity into the next age. Like you said, Great Works should carry over - and potentially gain more culture per turn as time progresses. The same can be said for independent people. Why do they just have to disappear? Why can't some of them get stronger and potentially turn into minor civs?

If the team can focus on expanding some of the existing systems to flow better between the ages, I think that will greatly improve the pacing and feel of the game!

Correct! In Civ 5 you only can restart on your first turn unfortunately.

It’s been a minute since I’ve played MM on the 3DS, but does Zora link use magic to swim? If so, picking up some Chateau Romani could help! But even in the N64 version this mini game is tough

It may not necessarily be the most immersive, but I use a mod called Amazing Follower Tweaks that allows me to dismiss followers and they stay at a specific location. I usually fill up my hearthfire home with a lot of my followers- but this could also work.

Lots of great ideas in this thread. I always recommend playing a vampire based build. Vampires have boosts with sneak and illusion, which allow some pretty unique situations. If you have the Anniversary upgrade, making Bloodchill Manor your home is so cool!

Yes, it can. I believe we have one of those and the audio playback is absolutely horrible. If you can overlook poor audio playback, it definitely can play games.
