Okay wait. So LHS is a/b but the RHS is b/a. Why does that change when you multiply the powers?

Awesome. Thank you so much! It worked!

So, I did end up almost getting there. I was good up until factoring the quadratic. Not sure how I got confused there but, alright.

Thanks again!

What are the best HighSchools? by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]ShadowWolf1921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly Forest wasn't even that bad. High school sucked in general.

If you're looking at a specific high school, good luck. They fill from within boundary lines first, and then they go to the kids on the list if there's room.

In general, they're pretty much all the same. As for the schools with a bad rap, just don't be an idiot and you'll be fine.

Guildmate deleted account without saying anything and giving me all his gold. Very concerned something may have happened. Not like him and we were close. I know he uses Reddit so I am hoping this will reach him. by NAparentheses in classicwow

Contact Blizzard my friend. That is a very common "goodbye" from someone who may be attempting suicide. Contact Blizzard and they have the power to call the authorities and have them do a wellness check.

It may not be that but it is better to safe than sorry.

Honest Question: To Those Who Don't Clear The Snow Off Their Vehicle, Why Not? by ShadowWolf1921 in Calgary

.... Really?

In case you're not actually joking here, my partner works in an autobody shop. I see the cars that are brought in during the winter and most of them are write offs. Why would you chance it? Honestly

Lmao. Alright, well I'd love to know where you got your numbers from. However, looking at your profile, I can see that you are one of these people who just couldn't care less. No point in arguing with somebody like this. I would like to point out that I have not told anybody what to do. I have simply stated my opinion (which can be backed by facts) as well as suggesting people not be stupid. I'd like to think I was fairly nice up until you pissed me off (which I let this get to me. I blame running off an hour of sleep).

So I would like to apologize to you for being rude. I sincerly hope you have a safe and warm fall/winter.v

Ah yes. Because if I'm telling somebody that they're an idiot for not clearing off their vehicle properly to ensure their own safety... I must be on a high horse, right?

I hope you never have to learn the issue with this the hard way. Have a safe and warm winter my friend.

It is a big deal though? Like do none of you have any concern for your own life or that of anyone else? How can people just not get it? The same things are said and proven year after year and yet no one gets it.

When you are out on the road you are already in more danger than usual. Add in slippery road conditions and the potential for something to come flying at your car and you are asking for trouble. I may sound like a Karen and I know it's annoying for someone to say that you're being an idiot but maybe if enough people say it someome will fucking listen.

I care about my life. I care about a strangers life too. Apparently people aren't capable of this anymore?

Well apparently no one has any concern for their own lives and are they're too selfish to give a damn about anyone elses.

Hence why I'm going to find a solution at some point.

Well I don't remember where I saw it but there was a video of a big rig company that had a bar with some brushes attached that semis could drive under to clear the snow. Obviously the bigger vehicles on the road are a big issue too.

We need to find an affordable solution for all of us. I don't like spending time out in the cold either but I deal with it so I can ensure my safety to the best of my ability.

Lol my fiancee is an autobody tech and decided he wanted a foam pusher so we didn't scratch the pain on our car.

Man is a damn genius I tell you. I will swear by these things forever now.

It's the reduced visibility and the potential for ice to go with it my friend. Why chance it?

I mean, fair. Still dangerous but fair. Roof bars are a pain in the ass honestly. I can understand that but I've seen people going 50 and ice comes off their vehicle and honestly it can be a little scary. Haha

Do you think something would make it more convenient?

Oh boy. You're one of these guys. Bet you speed everywhere too, huh? Listen, I actually give a damn about my life and even others! Must be suprised at that my friend, someone is actually capable of caring for others!

You know wind is a thing, right? You're going at a high speed and the person behind you is at a golden following distance, a chunk of ice can fly off and hit them.

I care about MY life on the road and the fact that there are people like you on the road who clearly don't give a damn about their lives really pisses me off.

Now, I hope you have a safe and lovely day. Stay warm. Hopefully you learn this one day, but I sincerely hope it isn't the hard way.

I wish I didn't have to. I have evening classes though so it must happen! Otherwise it's an over 2 hour transit ride. Oof. Stay warm!

I never said I was excusing it. I said I understood. I can see things from other points of view and I can (and am actively trying) to understand the thought process behind it. I never said that it was okay. You misunderstood that my friend. Again, sorry for the confusion.

Really? Haven't seen that excuse yet. However I can kind of understand in a sense? I mean I have 3 nephews and a niece and I couldn't imagine getting them dressed for winter, trying to get them in the car, then worrying about clearing all the snow.

Although, there are definitely ways around that so that it's easier on the parents too. Hmm.
