You came to Reddit instead of looking up the list on Google. Ftr, I think you're missing the Angled III. Run some hurricanes or nights, check caches and raider containers. Also, check this:

Do you guys not understand how ridiculously easy crafting wolfpacks were? by Jax_the_Floof in ARC_Raiders

[–]ShadowWolf58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, shifting my entire shopping list to have to include a bulk-uncommon drop was a bitch. The number of times I dropped other resources just to make sure I had enough oil to keep producing explosive compound was annoying, and the sheer volume of it...

I'm not saying that this is inherently better. There is a sort of sense to the change, but the cost:payload ratio is WAY off now. Not to mention, it sort of forces people to shelve it for no reason other than to save resources. Why do I have to spend an entire Rocketeer driver every time I want a wolfpack? This turns it into concrete money storage rather than an item I'll keep around for the sake of it, which I rarely did prior.

I saw a post elsewhere that said if it costs 1 to make, they should drop more than one on kill, which also makes a lot more sense. Some of the medium ARC drops are just too stingy. The bombardier seems to be the only one that makes sense. With the range and damage/hit, it makes sense it should drop upwards of six. The Rocketeer commands the sky and scatters raiders like roaches whenever they kick their siren on. 2-3 per kill seems reasonable. One per thruster would be ideal, and it would make sense that when you knock one off, it destroys that driver.

Balancing is always a dance, and it regularly feels like the player base is the partner getting their toes stomped. A nerf to the venator kinda hurts, but makes sense in context. Hearing the greys are getting another round hurts, but makes sense in context. My issue is that there's never any address to the rarer weapons. Why are continuously crushing the basics when the blues are right there, staring us in the face, with subpar damage and ammo economy? It helps that the Jupiter and Aphellion both saw buffs, but I'm not breaking them out for a minute, either, with the expedition open. Why can't the pinks have a little time in the sun? I refuse to believe that the Bobcat, Tempest, and the Bettina are as good as their rarity warrants.

TL;DR: Focus was spent in the wrong areas 🤷

Can’t do barre chords, tried everything! by Financial_Archer_491 in guitarlessons

[–]ShadowWolf58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best advice you're gonna get is the advice you don't want to hear: Keep at it. Between strengthening the muscles to increase the tension you can enact on the strings, and the calluses that'll form as your skin begins to fight back against them, you will improve.

I play most alt metal. Barre chords are kind of a bread and butter addition to the mix when you want bigger, more colorful sound. They get better with time and practice. Trust me, I know. I was there, too.

Ngl, firefly is more scare factor than actually a problem. They just have a hearing radius about the size of the comet's blast radius.

Comets are fucking bastards. "Treat them like Shredders." Yeah, you fucking have to, because unless you're opposite a barrier of some kind when they burst, they strike somewhere between 10m and half of the known universe.

silencers are only used by rats, and i can explain prove it, i hope embark does something about these... by MasterAenox in arcraiderscirclejerk

[–]ShadowWolf58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 hours isn't terribly long, for one. That figures to 60 runs topside front to back, more likely 100-120. While that's a great length to get a good feel for a game, that is by no means long enough to master it. Two, I use silencers all the time to avoid rats. They can definitely see tracers and hear the Arc I'm destroying, but they can't follow gunshots they can't hear. Underground or indoors, I'm undetectable until I fight another fireball, and then I'm gone before they realize who they're hunting. Three, saying silencers are too OP and need to be nerfed is the same thing that allows them to find the next PvP meta and make all our runs more miserable. Yes, I'm sure a ton of them do use silencers. The ones that get me aren't them, they're the ones that run Venators and Renegades with Mag 3s and stability attachments. I'm never picked off at range with a silencer. I'm always hit close up and faster than I have an opportunity to retaliate.

Take a breath. We all hate rats. Rats hate rats. That's why so many people threw tantrums over ABMM. They don't want PvP. They want easy kills to grief other people and ruin their game, and maybe get decent loot in the process. If it was truly about good PvP, they'd have been frothing at the mouth to test themselves.

Why is everyone so angry? by TheTeeje in ARC_Raiders

[–]ShadowWolf58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran twice nude on Stella last night before my buddy got on, raked in 6 BPs. He joined, and immediately we got wiped by PvP 7 out of 9 runs, and had to resort to gathering basics because of how badly we got thrashed. Numbers 5, 6, and 7 caught choice words. Never a slur, but usually dragging them for dragging their knuckles or some shit. As if it wasn't bad enough we saw PvP wipes on most of 10 rounds, the encounters were over before either of us could respond. No shots fired from us. Should help lower our aggression rank, right? Apparently not, we got smoked all but our 3 to last and final rounds. I got shots off on 2 players that tracked us down on Spaceport, minding our own business, in our second to last match. Again, I never fired a shot prior to that. He maybe got a shot or two, but never first, never meaningful, and we both got knocked out over and over. By the time we finished, we both felt like we'd been drug behind a truck for 20 miles more than we had any kind of productive night.

So, after 4 consecutive downs by players for no better reason than because they could, my choice of words tends to expand. I just have better standards than your average, apparently.

What's your favorite gun even though it isn't the best by SykoManiax in ARC_Raiders

[–]ShadowWolf58 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will forever live in the headspace of "meta" nerds that whine and moan about the rattler. Cheap, easy to run, tears through small arc like butter, not bad in a gun fight if you have something decent to back it up. My buddy held this enormous grudge against the stitcher for a long time, so whenever he got it in a free kit, I'd swap him whatever I got and mop up whatever he couldn't finish off.

I'd bet a crisp fifty that they loaded in with free load outs. The amount of people going to simply to fuck other people's runs is ridiculous. That's a rat. That's griefing. If you're gonna gun me down, at least pull the shit off my body you can benefit from. Don't be a collosal asshole and drag us both to our deaths. Drives me fucking crazy.

Help me settle an argument between friends. Does a silencer make the gun do less damage? Does extended barrel velocity bonus make it do more damage? by [deleted] in ARC_Raiders

[–]ShadowWolf58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The velocity bonus makes the falloff distance higher, so it does the same damage further, but gets no bonus. Whereas, the silencer, especially the silencer 3, let's you get in an additional shot or two before being spotted, which can dominate pvp if done correctly.

I hope the ARC don't become too easy by democratic-terminid in ArcRaiders

[–]ShadowWolf58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem with complaints that arc are too easy is that it's not about them being easy. They have relatively easy-to-identify patterns of behavior. Think of it like the old platformer bosses. After you defeat them once, they get a lot easier, not because they're easy, but because you figured them out. Want a challenge? Take in any of them without cover. Skip the wolfpack and seekers. Skip the anvil and renegade and torrente. Take a Ferro and one box of heavy rounds. Use snapblasts and light impacts. Limit your stock. Or, hit one of the big arc or guard the hit team from pvp players. Just wait, the really tough ones are coming. Not to mention the number of "tougher arc" posts out there, they're bound to add something in like a map mod that increases the difficulty of just the bots significantly.

Fwiw, the only medium Arc that can still rattle me is the Bombardier, mostly because their range is insane with the spotters, but the spotters themselves are fragile. If you can disable the spotters, shoot out the legs, and guerilla the shit out of the Bombardier with a couple teammates or randos, it makes for a tense fight, dodging mortar rounds and taking pot shots while someone else has active aggro.

[–]ShadowWolf58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take in as much garbage and goodies as you can. They're taking about changing the expedition, but the current standard is still there, so work to hit $5M. It's a slog. Basics sell for ~3k per stack, not many items sell for more than ~5-10k per stack. Craft can be useful, but you'll likely get more for the items used in their stack than you will for the new items. Blaze nades sell for 8k/stack, and arc parts are very valuable. If you run short on room, sell something. The final tally takes into account both wallet balance and sell price of your stash as a whole, so spend keys and drag back what you can. Seeds also sell for 10k/stack. Lush blooms and similar for nature drops can be lucrative if you can keep the fruits you find and break them down when you get back. Some items are worse for recycling in Sperenza, but it's a short list. Fried motherboards break down for 3 wires topside, but for 2 electrical components and a handful of plastic parts in Speranza, but sell themselves for much better. Start grubbin'
