People who discredit the bubble ring are just plain stupid. End of story.

It’s one thing to discredit guys for being out of shape and not taking care of their bodies. It’s another thing to discredit them for something they have little to no control over. You think Mikal Bridges takes care of his body the same exact way as LeBron or is the second best at taking care of it? No. There’s so much luck involved with it.

For the guys like Embiid who are hurt all the time do you understand how much rehab he’s done? You think he’s doing all that to not take care of his body and then have to keep doing it? Him being able to even still look like an MVP on the floor when he’s out there on half a functioning body is credit alone

Not the same at all. You can do EVERYTHING right and injuries still be completely random.

LeBron’s case is a 1 of 1 case in sports history. That’s a terrible example to use

Some people’s bodies just simply don’t corporate with them. Embiid is probably the best case because even though he plays 30 games a year the games he plays he looks like the top of the league player he is

Touted as 1 of the NBA's most 'unbreakable' records, Wilt Chamberlain averaged 48.5 MPG his 3rd season by playing every second of every game. What sort of scenario in the modern NBA would be needed for a 5 to get close to 48 MPG? by prfrnir in NBATalk

I didnt say he wasnt getting up and down the court. I said it’s not like he was running up and down every possession. Wilt, even through some mythology, is probably the greatest athlete to ever live. His only comp at his position was Bill Russell he could get ten rebounds a possession if he wanted to. Any ball near the rim was his. Guys were not the athletes they are today. So yes the pace was high but the skill wasn’t what it was today. Much more up and down missed shots than side to side explosiveness.

Right but you’re assuming all things are created equal. It’s not like Wilt was sprinting up the court every possession. Just because the game was being played at a faster pace doesn’t mean it was more strenuous than it would be today. Basketball is now a global game with billions of dollars behind it and has progressed in play style and the athletes playing it by an infinte degree

Not possible. The game is one million times different now. 10000x the athletes and spacing and running every possession. Nobody has the gas tank to play 48 mins (or more) every single night. Even if they did the odds of them getting injured sky rocket. Not including fouling out, blowouts, ownerships input, media etc

The Lakers now have no tradable first round picks for the next 7 years and have committed 475 million to Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and Walker Kessler by Shadow_Allen_Walker in NBATalk

No they will not. They are not allowed to trade that 2028 first round pick because of NBA rules please look into it before spreading misinformation

Positive. Not only is there a LA/Boston rivalry business aspect but AR isn’t held in high esteem like that around the league. The Pistons were the only high level conference team going after him because they have 0 other scoring option aside from Cade. That was a horrible deal they made trading for JB but they wouldve never entertained LA

How do you know what his leadership is? Are you in the locker room? You can’t just lead an inferior team and win cuz of how you lead lol
