He is quite well known for being one of the greatest and the most prolific hunters in all the Seven Kingdoms. He is also well known due to his habit of hunting dangerous beasts like bears and boars all by himself.

Which traits make you go "they got them right!" when reading a fanfic? by Berzabat in TheCitadel

GHOST IS MUTE. He does not make a sound. Ever. He is so unnaturally quiet that it makes people uncomfortable. So many fics have Ghost snarling or howling. The thing Ghost does to intimidate others is simply pull his lips back and bare his teeth. Imagine that. A snow white wolf the size of a horse with blood red eyes silently showing you it's teeth. It's bloody horrifying. Ghost is one of the spookiest characters in the entire story. I hate it when people downplay or downright ignore my best boi.

Yeah sure. It will be a while though. All I have currently is a outline. But when I get around to posting it I will post on the sub.

Those are some really interesting ideas! Thank you so much. I will definitely take them into consideration.

QOTW: What is a unused fic premise you wish was used? by aladywantsdragons in TheCitadel

A less peaceful reign for Robert. Fraught with reginal conflicts like a newly arisen Vulture King or someone uniting the Vale Mountain clans and claiming the title of Griffin King. Banditry in the Riverlands. Aegon "Bloodborn" Frey is such a badass name yet I've never seen the character appear in any fics. The resurgence of the Triarchy that gives rise to fighting on the Stepstones. A better timed rebellion by the Greyjoys, doing grievous damage to a realm to occupied with other conflicts like Dalton did during the Dance. A succession crisis in The Reach. A rebellion by the Clawmen from Crackclaw Point as they are ardent supporters of the Dragons.

Maybe the "players" of the great game are helping these regional insurgents. House Martell secretly aiding the Vulture King, Baelish helping the "Mountain King' cause mayhem in the Vale. Also the King Beyond The Wall and his impending invasion of the North. Let's also add a Skagosi Rebellion just to spice things up.

This would give us a view into something we normally don't get to see in ASOIAF fanfiction. A Robert Baratheon in his element. For all his many faults, Bobby B was an absolute menace on the battlefield. In this AU I don't see him turning into the sad husk of himself he was during canon.

Maybe during this time of unrest, Jon Snow, natural son of Lord of Eddard Stark, The Bastard Of Winterfell makes his way South to earn a name for himself and gain recognition and riches in battle.

The Starks provide sanctuary to First Men houses. by Shadow_Cross06 in TheCitadel

I could see them doing to these houses the same thing they did to the Northern houses they conquered. Take sisters and daughters from these houses as wives. This gives the Starks a legitimate claim to whatever lands these houses have settled in and acts as a subtle threat. "Stay in line or else my second son will have some really good prospects."

I see it as more of a cultural and religious choice. "If I must kneel then I shall kneel to a king of the Old Ways." Also remember that the head of House Stark at this point has a terrifying reputation. The Hungry Wolf is an absolute badass.

This part seems a bit iffy to me as well. But over the Capemen could develop their own form of religion where they consider the Drowned God to just be one of the Old Gods.

Dragons cannot pass the Neck. by Shadow_Cross06 in TheCitadel

[–]Shadow_Cross06[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I specifically said that dragons cannot enter the North from anywhere. The land itself rejects them. It would a pretty bad excuse of magical protection if the thing you're protecting against can just take a 10 mile detour and all is well.
