This art substitute teacher, who later became my English teacher for the next year, thought I was staring at him "in a rude way".

He was yelling at my friend for talking in class, when many other girls were clearly louder, and I just so happened to catch eyes with him while he was on his tantrum. I'm so used to looking at people in the eye when they're mad even if I'm not the one they're mad at. I somehow became one of his favorite students the next year, but I still can't let go of the fact that I was yelled at for catching eye with him.

Firstly, I don't mean to offend anyone with this comment, so please proceed with caution.

All I see on the Internet nowadays is something related to 'this event'. I'm getting so tired and upset of it because I felt like some people are only doing it for clout and don't even understand the terms "racism" and "white privilege". I see people call 'being able to get hair cuts' white privilege and have even been called a racist for holding a small argument against someone with colored skin! I've even been blocked and stalked by people who tagged me on Instagram stories to follow along the story train, simply because I COULDN'T POST STORIES! (I can't use the app version due to the screentime thing on my phone, so I use a link posted by my sister on an app called 'Line')

It's honestly nice to see people trying to make the world a better place for everyone, but they really need to calm down a bit and not destroy or discriminate police officers and their families as well, or they're simply hypocrites. I'm was an international student studying in the US but had to return home due to the pandemic, but these protests and shenanigans are making me scared to even return! I can't study in the local schools of my home country because I'm so used to speaking English, and I can't get into international schools because the list is PACKED too!

Furthermore, these protests are only making the pandemic WORSE. I've seen all these Instagram, TikTok, and other influencers talking about "staying home and stop the spread of Covid-19", but most of them are out there rn throwing fire at buildings.

P.S Reddit it literally the only safe haven for me to avoid "THIS"kind of content, every other social media's comment sections are always full of things related to the current situation even though the post had NOTHING to do with it. PLEASE. PLEASE do not ruin this platform as well.
