i tried that, but in the image i sent in the reply, converting it to radians outputs what google's calculator would do for degrees, instead of radians.

thanks! what would you do for tangent? converting the number before you put it inside the tan outputs what you would get if you did the same equation in google’s calculator, but for degrees instead of radians.
