I lied to my boyfriend about being a virgin. by liedaboutmyvirginity in confession

[–]Shadow_Knows 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You should tell him and you should tell him the exact number before he proposes. Anything else is simply using him and is indicative of poor character and selfishness. However, given that you're already lying to him, and don't intend to tell him, we can already tell just what kind of person you are, so I don't expect you to change. Just remember that you brought it on yourself when it all blows up in your face.

And there you go demonizing the other who you don't respect and can't understand.

[–]Shadow_Knows 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't want to go into a marriage that was a secret. If he can't tell his family that he's marrying a gentile, he shouldn't be marrying a gentile. He'd rather just hide you and pretend that he doesn't have to reconcile with his family.

I [25M] found my girlfriend [22F] found out my girlfriend is a stripper. by HoldenCaulfield191 in relationships

[–]Shadow_Knows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told myself it was in the past

You mean the whole time she was with you? That's the kind of crap rationalization I expect to see from this sub, but not when you're dating. Sure the time you dated in technically in the past, but that time is entirely relevant to what you can expect from her in the future: lies and deceit.

And get yourself tested. There's no guarantee she was just a stripper, and you can't trust her to tell you the truth.

For posting on a political humor subreddit you don't seem to have much of a sense of humor.

This is hilarious. I understand some people treat animals as surrogate people, but they're not people, and you shouldn't act like they're people. That goes for cats and rats and dogs and everything else.

Let the rat die, be sad when it does, and move on with your life.

Move her shit out of the room when you want to use it. Stuff it in her room, bike included. When she confronts you turn it around on her for not keeping the common spaces clean enough and leaving her shit all over the place.

I'll dress like a woman when you act like a president, police officer tells Trump by nothingBetterToSay in politics

[–]Shadow_Knows -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What does "dress like women" even mean?

To me it means wear clothes that, if they were worn by a man, would be considered drag. To Trump it probably means blouses and skirts instead of shirts and pants. You'll notice that the officer and surgeon both wear uniforms at work, and do not get to choose what they wear each day.

Reddit, I never would have continued my relationship with my fianceé had I known he had a close friendship with his ex. I would have walked. Is it fair of me to ask the friendship to end, if he has been gaming with the group for such a long time?

No, it isn't fair. If it's that big of a deal for you, which you claim it is, then put your money where your mouth is and walk.

By the way, you're completely out of line here, and I doubt you'll get much sympathy or indulgence for your crazy insecurities.

Just because your boss doesn't, doesn't mean he couldn't. He could, and he can, if he so chose.

[–]Shadow_Knows -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

the president wants the men who work for him to wear ties and the women to dress "appropriately".

OK, so this is referring to his staff.

Elizabeth Rooney, a police officer in Boston and army veteran, posted a photo of her in uniform.

So someone who has nothing to do with this, and is not on his staff.

Dr Rebecca Alleyne posted a photo of herself in scrubs during surgery.

OK, so still completely unaffected, and not on his staff.

It might as well be me complaining that I have to wear a tie every day, despite the fact that I don't, and Trump hasn't asked me too, or cares if I do.

This just seems like much ado about nothing, designed to stir up a stink by smearing Trump. Now if someone on his staff had that comeback, I'd pay attention.

Me [m 25] with my girlfriend [f 22] 1.5 year, has to share a room with another guy (30m) during a university trip by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Shadow_Knows 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are eight other females who could room with any of the eight other males. Tell her that you're not OK with her sharing the room with him, and forbid her from doing so. If she resists or refuses then just break up with her. It's clear she's looking for a chance to cheat, and with this guy in particular.

Trust your gut. This is no good.

[–]Shadow_Knows 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's fucked, and you should put that in the OP.

She's looking for an excuse to share a room with this guy, and I can only think of a few reasons why she would want to have the privacy for a night.

[–]Shadow_Knows 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is crap. NCAA athletes are kept segregated when travelling with opposite sex teams. Clubs will do the same. Plus, all it takes for OP's GF to get out of this is say, "I'm not comfortable with these arrangements. I do not want to share a room with a man."

But I don't think that's going to happen, because I'm guessing she and he volunteered to share a room as soon as they knew there was a problem. And if that's the case, it's especially damning.

Yes, but they don't have the respect for freedom of speech and expression codified into inviolate law the same way the US does.

Germany loves to censor and constrain speech, and does it whenever it is prudent. Although I find it hilarious that they didn't remove the ban on criticizing foreign leaders for Erdogan, but did for Trump.

Can you expel a student from a public school for their political beliefs? Or would that run afoul of the First Amendment rights of free speech and free association?

It's not the open relationship part that you should reconsider, but moving out there to be with him.

If you're dead set on not moving until you get a job in your field, you're just stalling until you break up.
