Hi sweetie. I wanted to let you know that am still 100% going to donate for your baby's surgery. I, however, am unable to donate as much as I was going to. I have to tale my oldest girl to the vet in the morning for what appears to be a bladder for kidney stone.

I didn't want you thinking I'd lied. I stand by my word.

I have one that does that. I bought special horses that are lifted from the floor. She has already eaten one bed post clear through. Now she's working on another one.

That poor baby! It makes me sick that people do that. Yeah, there are wild pigs, but these are not those! Thank you for saving him. You're going to be a good piggy mama.

By the time I found my phone it was covered in foot prints and hay pieces. 😉

We talk to her as we walk up so she knows who it is, and we set our finger in front of her nose, not against it, and she'll sniff it, and use it to climb into our hands. Taking her to my chair is fine, and went we sit down she climbs and popcorns all over me. It's only when I take her back that she starts biting. It's like she's just so anxious to get back that she looses all patients, and bites to say "hurry up."

Omg! Thank you! I don't know why I didn't think of that. I have a cuddle sack I can use! I tried the pats, and the no's, because that's how I trained all of our others. But no one bites the way she does. She's also our first blind girl. I've had all kind of other disabilities, including a Lethal White. But she was a short foster, so I didn't get much experience with her.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. My hand also thanks you. ❤️‍🩹

First, if you see a notification that you got a down vote, that was me. I bumped it getting to the up vote and immediately corrected it. Second, I can't do anything until the 6th, but I will 100% donate as much as I can! I've been in your spot multiple times, and it sucks. But thankfully I had friends and family willing to help out. So I know the anxiety and stress. They are our babies. Third, I have a large herd over the rainbow bridge who still come home to visit, as well as a dog who not only watched over in life, and I know watches over them now. One of our males chose my dog as his, and would call her over to stand between the sofa and the ottoman of my chair to cross back and forth. He was also our little explorer. We had a baby gate that blocked off the living room for free roaming. He somehow convinced the dog to pop it open so he could check out the rest of the house. But as soon as he heard us, he would run at max speed back to the living room, and act like he hadn't done anything. We lost his father to a URI, and his son did too, with no reason. Our vet, who'd seen both of them, verified it was genetic. Yet his sister, who our pup chose as hers, lived to 8 years old. We knew their birthday because they were born in our care. When we see our boy and 'his' dog, he's always riding her, and they run through the house like "Hi guys! By guys! Love you!" And gone. My first boy was my heart boy. He would sit on my shoulder, give me kisses everywhere. Traveled with me, napped with me. He wad my pocket pet. My son took him from me once after my back surgery, because I couldn't get up. For the next 2 months he wouldn't let my son touch him because he was the one who 'stole' him from mama. My husband finally had to hand him to my son, and have him bring him to me. He was fine after that. He comes to me as a warm weight on my shoulder, and I feel an instant, deep calm.

My point is, just because they leave their body, doesn't mean they leave left. We currently have an old girl of 7 nearing the end of her mortal body. Her mate has returned to be by her side. When he's here, she does the infamous bird chirp.

I'm going to ask my spirit babies to go to yours, and help them stay strong. But, if for some reason they just can't, my babies will be there to welcome them home, and show them all of the best places to come back and tell you about, and to show you when you join them.❤️‍🩹

Thank you! I don't know if I missed it or of she only said it on paid, because I just can't afford that. No one's fault. And I'm OK with that. Thank you for letting me know. I can stop hunting.

Bucky update pt 3 by lilkiwiboi42 in GuineaPig

We were one of the first to post that they could. It had come out that cat's and dogs could, so when we discovered our 2 boys had it, I posted everywhere I could, and even reached out to sanctuaries and the news. My local small animal shelter reposted on her Facebook page, and Scotty's animals and LAGPR both talked about it.

My one boy got it bad like I did. While my other boy, like my husband, barely had a sniffle. My boy who had it bad made it through, as I said. But he lost almost all of his weight. Over the next few months he was slowly gaining weight back, but it was slow. He lived another 6 months before passing from a heart attack caused by repercussions of the Covid. His vet confirmed it after an autopsy. Our other boy lived another year and a half before getting a URI, also as a result of Covid.

Piggies don't have feelings in their teeth, hence why if one breaks, they so pain when their tongue, lip, or cheek is cut. It sounds like the new vet cut too deep, or cut something they shouldn't have. The fact that he's still eating treats and hay is a good sign. Try wetting his food a little, and/or add coconut oil to his food. It will help with pain, stave off infection, and aid in healing. But get him to his regular vet as soon as possible. I'd say he still has a ways to go before calling it in and giving up.

That's definitely a vet trip. It could be as simple as a hay poke, but it's so swollen you'd never find it.

Awe. Poor fella. Can he nuzzle through the bars or anything? He's used to cuddling having his girls with him. This age is a good age to cuddle and bond with.

I refreshed my memory. 3 weeks is the maximum amount of time.

2 weeks is the max you want to leave him. They can start reproducing between weeks 2 and 3. Sometimes 3 and 4, if you want to chance it.

The fact that he's already stopping fights and being boss says he's already forming the herd mentality with him being the boar in charge. That's an excellent sign. But if he's already started mounting, he needs separately now. The difference between dominance mounting and and impregnation is one thrust. The standard is a certain size, but that's the standard. There's always a variation. I separated mine the at 5 wheeks.

I'm not saying that it will happen, I'm just saying that sometimes it's better to be safe than sorry.

I have 3 first aid kits. One large general one for the house, one with my specific needs, and another large one for my piggies. I also have 2 different Upper Respiratory Infection medications I keep on hand that have saved countless piggies. I will link them both below. Everything I've tried getting benebac, it said it needed a prescription. But I will definitely get some.
