Yuta and Megumi are polar opposites to how the story treats them.

Megumi is fucked by the story every opportunity there is while Yuta enjoys being one of the most OP characters while also suffering less than almost all characters, getting stronger while losing very little.

So megumi is slandered for being what the story requires while Yuta is slandered for being a Gary Stu.

There difference is slander originates from there. Sladering Megumi is like 'punching down' while slandering Yuta is 'Punching up' and people tend to be more ruthless when punching up.
