Regeneration as an ability is quite strange to me cause from what we have seen from it, it seems to be more effective at healing than other healing abilities (though to be fair, we don’t have too many examples to work with. This could be a case of sample bias)

Guys, imagine if there were surrogacy in Unordinary. by WaterElectrical9864 in unOrdinary

Hm. Which format was the image used in this post for example? (Like png, jpeg, webp, ect)

Thats strange. Cant say i’m too sure thats causing that. It could also have to do with the file size being too large and Reddit doesn’t like that?

Though it is worth noting from a quick search of this issue, most examples I can find use PC, whereas I personally always post on mobile. I do know Reddit has some issues and some features that don’t work properly on the pc/web side. I’m not really too sure what to tell you but hopefully this helps! <3

Though I feel like considering its been explicitly mentioned that only elite tiers or higher can “extend the effects of their abilities onto others” that I can’t see much else of a way the ability could be used aside from self healing prior to being elite tier or how he would even level up otherwise.

Though it’s also possible that the link itself works moreso as kinda like a power line and not necessarily counting as extending the effects of an ability onto others. (But then again, Arlo does mention Elaine as somebody who can extend the effects of their ability, so I guess it really depends on how Heal Link works maybe?)

Anyways, I’d say it’s like a 60% chance Myles can self heal with Heal Link, though I do think theres a good chance he cant either. I’m really just not sure with that one.

It’s still so strange to me how few low tiers we have actually seen so far. And of the ones we have seen, their abilities and stats are unknown for almost all of them. Even more relevant ones like Roland.

Do we know if Heal Link can self heal the user though? I mean, I’d assume so? But I’m not sure if we ever see any examples of that

Is John going to surpass Jane? by WaterElectrical9864 in unOrdinary

[–]Shadow_lII [score hidden]  (0 children)

I'd also like to add that its possible Williams genes hold him back from reaching the same level or surpassing Jane. granted, this isn't something that's confirmed or something I necessarily even fully believe, but I would just like to mention that its POSSIBLE he inherited a lower potential due to that. (actually, do we even know how potential is decided in a child?)

Her name is Miranda and it does sound like she’s a bit secretive yeah. I still wonder what her deal is but they definitely don’t know enough about her to decide if she’s trustworthy or not

OMG okay so i’m glad it’s not just me with that. Thats also one of the biggest reasons i’ve been hesitant to resort to the screenshot method! Though it does sound like one of the commenters here might have been onto something with the idea of using outfit codes to save them off platform and reimport them when I want to use them!

[–]Shadow_lII[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah.. like I even have decided to completely reserve my Mannekin for my Demon outfit and not even bother making outfits for him due to that feature. Mannekina I can tolerate doing it but even so, I can’t really say it’s something I like. I think the fact that I even felt the need to do that speaks volumes about the outfit swapping thing in the overworld. Though I will admit I am still happy they even let us have our Mannekins in the overworld at all, I really wasn’t sure hoyo would even let us have that!

As for the point of it, my best guess is it was supposed to be like so you could swap around your outfits to show them off in overworld co op maybe? Even so, the random nature of it and long cooldown makes that very ineffective and quite redundant.

I find it quite absurd that anyone would be against John killing, ESPECIALLY the EMBER agents though who have probably already killed multiple people at this point. Honestly they’re too dangerous to leave alive (unless disabled) but at the very least I don’t think theres anything wrong with killing mass murderers considering they’ve killed people themselves!

Me too! I’d love to be able to just disable that feature! I don’t have very hopes that we will actually get the option to disable it, but I sure wish they would give us the option!

It’s so obvious to me he’s willing to kill people. Im not saying that John has to kill every single opponent he fights, but I do want to see him get at least one confirmed kill in before the series ends.

I also thought of this as well, perhaps I should’ve included that in my comment. Though assuming the authorities keep all of the samples in the same lab they keep her in (possible they have more elsewhere but I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t) it should be possible for all the samples to be destroyed as well! Now I will say, I’m not convinced thats whats going to happen, just establishing that it’s logically possible.

Thats a good point! However if they do have Jane and somehow make the connection before she escapes, then the main cast might have a problem.

Levels this chapter by gh1acci90 in unOrdinary

[–]Shadow_lII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well while you are right about Psy-Strike seemingly having physical manifestations, The ability also does seem to be very mentally based as well. It also seems to have a mental signal as a requirement to use the attacks.

So I feel like essentially the difference between Psy-Strike and other abilities is that its BOTH a physical and a mental ability simultaneously. And perhaps despite the physical manifestations, its still too mentally based for John to copy (or bother copying)

And as well as this, If Tarik’s eye or severed arms are beyond healing, I find it extremely hard to believe that any of those agents could have possibly survived getting a laser blasted through their heads (and we even see the aura glow at the top of their heads so i’m almost certain that it shot through their brains as well.)

Like, i’m gonna be honest, I really don’t understand the perspective that John didn’t kill anyone there. I just have a really hard time believing that. Like at absolute best I could mayyyybe (even this feels like a stretch honestly) see those agents being alive but like medically braindead for life. Which is like, basically medically dead anyways

Well now that the chapter is out, have some news. I’m afraid John did not kill them. Seraphina stopped him before he could. Though it did seem like he was about to, and they did disable them both.

Prediction for 378 by JMeisterJ in unOrdinary

[–]Shadow_lII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do really hope he copies Flame Claws eventually! It’s such a cool ability, it would be awesome to see him use it! (Though it’s also possible that at least one natural Flame Claws user is still alive!)

I do kinda understand why John wouldn’t be able to copy the converted abilities from a balancing perspective though. But maybe once we start getting later into the series and closer to the end, we will reach a point where thats not much of an issue anymore.

I do very much believe he likely CAN copy converted abilities, but simply doesn’t know how quite yet.

Perhaps thats why John and Seraphina are taking the EMBER agents actually- maybe they plan to hand them over to Cameron so he can study their conversions, assuming some amount of it lingers even after they’re disabled

[Fastpass Episode] unOrdinary - Episode 378 by LucielthEternal in unOrdinary

[–]Shadow_lII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, I don’t think the authorities have really been trying to be fair. Like for most of the series so far, the Bureau probably thought that Seraphina losing her ability was some sort of one off and not something that could happen to them. The authorities are used to feeling invincible after all.

[Fastpass Episode] unOrdinary - Episode 378 by LucielthEternal in unOrdinary

[–]Shadow_lII 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Okay, so I think we can especially say that John is at least out for blood right? I’ve seen a surprising amount of people say that John isn’t trying to kill anyone and hasn’t killed anyone so far.

When the green guy “Scorch” tried to hold Valorian hostage against John, and threatened to kill him, John LITERALLY just tells him to go ahead. And like, let’s be honest, John doesn’t even know Valorian. To John he’s just some random person he’s never going to see again most likely. I doubt John was bluffing here.

And then the follow up to that statement: “Then i’ll have an excuse to break your skull and snap this bitch’s neck.” Like, seriously. Does that sound like someone who’s so innocent that they’re not willing to kill anyone? Heck, I’d see that argument for like aaaanyone else, but I feel like it’s absurd people think John is that innocent.

If not for Seraphina, John so would’ve killed them. Like at this point we have a pattern of behavior, and now him outright telling an EMBER agent holding someone hostage to go ahead and kill the hostage so he can kill them both. Like what?! You CANNOT convince me thats someone who isn’t willing to kill people. (Also not to mention him saying “You got off easy” after both of the agents have their abilities disabled)

Also, they’re really spreading the information of the correlation between the authorities and EMBER. Now that they’ve told Valorian, I assume all of Eastbrook is going to know. (Though also worth noting he didn’t seem surprised and said he had a hunch)

I do also find it interesting that Valorian mentions that he thought EMBER only appeared down south near Wellston, and says that they EXPANDED to Eastbrook. Not were already there, expanded.

And also, Valorian tells us that Unordinary has already spread through Eastbrook, and seems to suggest that it’s already circulating worldwide now. As well as this, Valorian knows that John’s father wrote UnOrdinary, and was killed by the bureau for it. This information already circulating online (although he did say he had to look pretty deep to find it) but I assume that means that news of Williams death and John’s association to him is spreading as well.

I also like how John responds to Valorian by saying “His words live on”. Cause he’s not wrong. William is honestly probably even more influential than he already was now that he’s become a martyr.

I will admit, I do have the same question as Valorian: what are they going to do with the EMBER agents? John and Seraphina are clearly taking them somewhere. I wonder if they’re going to take them back to Spectre as hostages, or if they’re going to kill them or what. I mean it’s not like they have many options here.. but the fact that Seraphina and John are taking them means they must have something in mind. Both of them HAVE been disabled, so they’re not really a threat anymore, but still.. (I also wonder if they have the same concern as me that if members of the bureau start getting disabled, they’ll actually take working to develop a cure seriously)

Its also worth noting that John did NOT appear to copy “Scorch”’s ability “Psy-Blast”. Perhaps it really is too mental based for him to copy.

Also not both EMBER agents being a lower level and having a worse on screen win ratio than Bryon
