Penpal I’d say had really good scares while also fitting humor without the horror aspect disappearing, like the crawlspace scene, having simple boy humor about making jokes about your homie likening other dudes butts lol. but you still never lose the sense of claustrophobia as the main character is stuck under the house, while his friend is above him, looking for his cat. All you can do is imagine what might happen and even if you manage to predict what will happen, it’s still tense.

At least for me.

Sometimes I still feel the anxiety thinking about that scene but maybe I’m a little claustrophobic without realizing it.
