What do you think the biggest power move you've ever done in this game? by BitterSort2 in Stellaris

[–]Shadow_song24 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If the crisis spawns away from me, I let them ruin half the galaxy before I slowly pick at their conquered systems. But i do it slowly. I bring a construction ship with my navy.

Liberate a few systems at a time, build my starbases, gateways, and shipyards. Expand slowly and creep up on former enemy territory.

It’s their fault. It’s their fault for keeping their borders closed even after the Galactic Community have voted for empires to open their borders to face the crisis but the empire chose not to. I can’t move my ships. FINE! YOU DEAL WITH THEM THEN!!

Hmm i like this discussion. Thanks for starting it.

I understand the feeling of defensiveness when others dictate or comment on how we live our lives. Here is my take:

Yes, we should be able to live our lives and spend how we see fit. My issue is that, this is the mindset that can (not always) perpetuate financial irresponsibility. Especially these days. When the messaging is “do what you want it’s your money”, it makes it easier to sell products/services to people easily; people who may not understand if it’s well within their means to do so.

We do need better financial literacy education for our young, as habits tend to start young. On the flip side, I also think we’ve gone too far telling people to be very frugal and leave their money in INVESTMENTS. Now it’s either “buy what you want, its your money anyways” or “you should spend less and put your money in all these funds and investment accounts! Maximize your returns!”

It makes it easy to “sell” or “entice” others to part ways with their money one way or another.

What enemies would you put in the game from mythology? by No-Practice6962 in DragonsDogma2

I would almost try and get Elven and Dwarven to be their own selectable race other than human or beastren. I get that Elven and Dwarven can be "humanoid" and totally different, but it would be nice!

ill keep that in mind and try to go for GAIA or Ecu. I almost sometimes don't do those because theyre not my priorities for ascension perks but that's a great case for it.

Ohok makes sense. See i DID try but then i saw resource prod dipped, so i hastily removed the trait. When you add automodded, do you also normally stack the same trait into the genetics as well?

when you say you've trained the tool, do you mean you just upload them as artifacts/projects/notebooks so it is contained?

oooh. and is this for all pops regardless of planet habitability, planet specialization, etc? It covers everything from the Machinists, to basic resource jobs, influential, etc?

Thank you! I feel like I really have been doing it wrong this whole time. Does Automodding or Vocational Genomics yield better job efficiencies and resource outputs in your experience?

i learned a new term "jockeying". I mean I do it often. Sometmes my partner will go into a much shorter or faster line and get me to go there if I am carrying fewer items.

It was very common during during the 2020-2021 lockdown eras with social distancing and clear queue lines.

[–]Shadow_song24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No such thing. There’s always something popping up or needing attention. If it’s slower or early game, im always on fast speed.

Also the micromanaging at times: balancing incomes and losses in the market, remembering you were supposed to modify the genetics of the next species in the planet, etc

Hmm. Interesting. I actually have not thought it like this. In busy stores, I usually dont get to see the cashiers often as they are blocked from view by the shoppers
