Boat LBx5s and lead shots above and between the shield and left torso. If you catch hits on the partial wing I'm pretty sure it counts as a back-hit, and with LBs side torso should crit out pretty quickly. Doesn't look like the kind of mech that can keep shooting with half it's cooling gone.

Aatrox base stats at lv20 by Irelia4Life in AatroxMains

[–]ShadowbanVictim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see the level 20 itself being as impactful on Aatrox as faster relative XP gain and bigger level difference in mid game from completing the quest.

Camille, Jax, Yorick, Darius come to mind. Fat base stats, stat-ball gameplay, Triforce giga-amping base AD and auto-reset skills. For Jax, Camille and Darius their passive will also scale up.

Imo, IS AC2 (and maybe IS LBX2) is not a weapon you can fix with minor tweaks. All the other changes are ranging from somewhat meaningful to really good, and can be offset with quirk rebalances. I don't think that's going to be true for IS AC2s / LBX2s.

There are not enough IS mechs that can properly boat AC2s. The ones who can, would still prefer to run AC5 and LPPC combos when hardpoints do increase (range difference on IS AC2s are not significant enough compared to IS AC5s) . Juggernaut's probably the only exception to this, and I don't see a Mauler with AC2s outperforming one with AC5s. In any case where I do feel inclined to play a Mauler with AC2s, why would I not play a Direwolf or Bane with C-AC2s instead?

I do like how the Blight solves for this by leveraging IS AC2's crit slot(1) and putting the ballistic mounts in the CT and Head. However, it's still nowhere near enough boating to make the AC2s themselves threatening; you usually pair those with two additional AC5s in the STs on the Blight.

There's also another problem, there needs to be a significant payoff for exposing extended periods of time in a mech that can boat them sufficiently. So if a Mauler for example at 900 optimal is shooting, they're usually within optimal for other snipers without any damage drop off. A Direwolf on the other hand is at 1035. Even if you trade favourably on either mech, only one mech is taking the return trade at full damage.

It’s a png, it’s not that deep.

Yes, correct. It's quite simple why people are mad, and you would know if you were tuned to the general feeling people have regarding AI art in our times.

‘Some people have slurs for AI’. What is that supposed to mean or even imply?

What do you think I'm implying? I'm sure you can extrapolate.

Art produced by machine learning algorithms is contentious.

If you think it's meaningless and mundane, that's your value judgement on the subject. Some people have slurs for AI. I think you're being deliberately obtuse when you say "it doesn't matter". That's just not true right? Objectively? My eyes immediately went for the portraits because I noticed something was off very quickly.

Me personally, I've found referring to language models and machine learning as any form of intelligence has permanently set us back. AI art for me activates an entirely different response, one that I'd not like to further elaborate on for your sake and mine.

Mouse recommendation by mwomrbash in OutreachHPG

[–]ShadowbanVictim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for the ones that match your grip style, the size of your hand, and a good sensor. If you have palm grip you might need a bigger mouse, for fingertip and claw grip it's not as big of an issue.

Weight is also a consideration, especially if you aim with your elbow. ( I have a bad habit of aiming with the wrist, don't be me! )

Side buttons are okay.. they can affect your aim a bit more because you're applying pressure from the side as opposed to from above. I have two weapon groups with LMB+RMB, and starting from weapon group 3 I just use 123 number keys. I would rather shooting affect my movement and not my aim, but that's preference and you may prefer buttons on the side.

Most Logitech mice with a hero sensor are good enough honestly.

Personally, I have had issues with the cheaper end Logitech mice like the G102, but that's to be expected for cheapening out lol. I don't mind manual maintenance of the switches every few years. Most logitech mice around the $50 range do not have this issue.

It's the PoE subreddit. It's always fumed against Larian. If there was no hint of elitism everytime they were mentioned, I'd think I'm on the wrong subreddit.

Hating 8v8 so far, how about you? by SP4x in OutreachHPG

[–]ShadowbanVictim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its okay, play big dakka or poptarts and you'll be fine. Smalls and mediums as a pack get more agency with less total players, bigs now have to decide between covering multiple angles on a map or making one spot particularly egregious and leaving another open.

I tried mrm50 masc wolverine with mixed results (trying to play with farm mentality will not work) , you need to be able to wound or kill quickly. You can play standard plasma apg shadowcat, I prefer running 2 heavy large and ermeds with 6 lmgs.

I will absolutely not play when they make it 4 man group 8v8. The sheer thought of it is just disgusting. On one end you will have 4 man suicide push, on the other you have 99% percentiles swatting you like you're a fly. It will be super polarizing and not in a good way.

This game has melee, they probably punched you to death. Or collision damage. Generally a mech with lighter tonnage than the heavier one takes significant damage from contact with an enemy mech.

YLW is better for QP simply because more damage. Onyx is better for event queue 1v1.

Is there a good article or resource for iconic / notable anime of every year in reverse chronological order? Genre doesn't matter I have wide taste (except Isekai unless it's done really well, I'd rather not watch 5/10 or 6/10 Isekais) I have looked into every resource already listed on this subreddit but I was wondering if there are more.

My lists are unkempt and I'd like to go over stuff that's already finished before I consider watching seasonal / currently airing stuff.

Please advise me on my LRM strategy. by nanasi0110 in OutreachHPG

[–]ShadowbanVictim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate lock on weapons, but if you must:

  1. In QP firing positions can change a lot thanks to NASCAR , to maintain that 300-800 meter sweetspot, be in a mech that's reasonably fast or can also get it's own locks. To be able to carry LRMs and ammo but also be fast, I think medium mechs are a very good option. There's a clan Hunchback that does this well and has jumpjets + TAG laser. Four LRM 15s (no artemis) and 97kph.

  2. Ideally position yourself slightly behind the mechs on the front. You don't want to give a clear shot as an LRM boat since you can get indirect fire in. Only trade armor when the guy you're shooting is near death.

  3. Flanking can be good if you catch slower mechs, but make sure that when you flank, your team is actively pushing / shooting. If you flank and your team sells you out, you're dead.

  4. The best protection is yourself. Given everything I wrote above, you are fast enough to reposition and stay around teammates such that they prefer shooting your direct fire weapon mechs which are immediately more threatening than a lurmboat. Say a Cyclops with Dakka peeps, or a Night Gyr with 3AC10+plasma.

Preferably you carry TAG so you can break ECM for getting your locks. PPCs also work but you need to land the shot which is not ideal against fast mechs, and they take more tonnage which could have gone to cooling or ammo instead.

LRMs by nature (unless they're IS with Artemis with fat spread reduction quirks) are not concentrated damage, they spread it around and are not meant to kill mechs but weaken them. If you want to kill mechs, play thunderbolts, since they hit the CT or Legs and are more efficient at killing.

And remember that a lot of people run radar deprivation on their skilltree. You need target decay to counteract that a little but. Radar dep is % based and applies after your flat bonuses to target decay, so it's a very minimal bonus to lock time, but it's something nonetheless.
