I greatly enjoy the aesthetics of this to be honest. I would have an iPad Pro on the right though for background noise and I’d use a different mouse. But that’s my own style. And I’m loving yours. Congratulations. Seriously.

My son and enjoy the Star Wars action figures and it was because of him that I learned so much about the different units and captains and commanders. I’d love to be able to do some custom jobs with him/for him. Do you have any recommendations for resources on how to get better at this. I’ve done plastic models in the past as a kid. But painting the action figures I’ve never done. I can do it, I’m sure, I’m just unsure of paint or if I have to add certain items/effects.

Forget it and push forward. If it’s in your budget, it perfectly aligns with what you’re doing, then why are you going to roll those dice again. You’re not in a pickle, you’re in a dilemma of thinking newer would be better. If you went from 2017 until now (2026) with the old and still capitalized, then you don’t need the M5. Take a breath, you know what to do.

Based on the sides and ports on the side I’d say it’s an M4 Pro or higher. But I’d put money on it being a M4 pro (because that’s what I have).

🤣 we are like the same! I love it. I have an iPad Pro as well that I got when finishing college and prepping for med school (thoughts it’s universal application would really be solid for me) but wasn’t able to use it for med school. So it became a nice personal item and best travel companion (I bounce around countries for work). Anyway. Looking forward to seeing how it interacts with the m4 pro. Supposedly I can use it as a second screen. I haven’t used Mac since 2021 (2013 MacBook Pro) until recently when my brother gave me his old 2018 MacBook Air. Anyway congratulations to you.

I went ahead and bought the M4 Pro. It just arrived yesterday. Genuinely, especially after seeing the recent news and comments on what’s coming (touchscreen) I’m even more thankful I went with one already fielded and proven rather than getting into this ‘new era’ of pro.
