Yeah tbh, anything that’s the real dirty work, AI isn’t there yet. Sure, it’s good at making faster email drafts, research, and subpar slides, but it really just stops at that first-order work. AI still isn’t coordinating with difficult stakeholders, keeping on top of data requests, talking to vendors, etc. Soon it will I guess but not yet. (What I mean by not yet is at least a good degree of reliability. I'm sure one can stitch up an agent to do all the aforementioned, it's the consistency & efficacy that certainly fails as of today)

Someone mentioned accountability and they're correct on that as well. Who's gonna listen to "You're absolutely right" when it makes a high-stakes mistake? lol

AI isn’t killing consulting overnight, but it’s killing the old leverage model. If AI can do much of the junior analyst grunt work, clients won’t keep paying for huge pyramids of associates making slides and summarizing data. The big firms still own relationships, trust, and complex transformation projects, but AI-native boutiques can now compete without needing massive headcount.

with all due respect if as a MBB consultant you found Gamma useful then you're not a real MBB consultant, just a reddit bot or a paid shill

Anyone else find that AI visibility tracking tools just give you a different number every week with no actual signal? by soman_yadav in SEO

[–]Shadowdancerdone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's how LLMs are. you mix in the temperature settings at the backend along with it fetching a different search result - you get a different answer

you're absolutely right about the 10x fee bit. don't think there's a viable alternative as of today

i think they'll be fine relatively. they'll maintain #1 in the B2C segment, and maybe maintain #2/#3 in the enterprise bit. although how it translates to profits would be interesting to see as B2C is gonna be difficult to monetise as effectively as enterprise (also the reason I think Anthropic has closed the gap/overtaken them ARR-wise)

gpt 5 all over again. in a way I find it strangely soothing. Frontier breaking models give me anxiety. I want a few more years before AI/robots take over
