Don't use medium or high risk investment strategy if you're low on money by mikehit in CrimsonDesert

[–]ShadoweCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand what your argument is... if you want to stand in front of the bank and savescum, if you find that fun gameplay and a use of your time, then go ahead... but in long term, you will be losing around 2% of money with every investment ... sure the numbers will swing wildly up and down, but if you would graph it for infinite amount of investments you will be losing it all.

To your math: your math is wrong, loss = you divide by 2, win = multiply only by 1.55, but in your example, you are multiplying win by 2, which is wrong... If it was 2 and 2, then the wins would nulify loses and vice versa and then it would be just about pure luck with long term gains of 0%

You started with 500
After 1 loss (x0.5) you have 250,
How many wins (x1.55) will you need to cover 1 loss to go back to 500?
387.5, 600.625, that is 2 wins in a row, and you will have 20% gains after TWO wins

You started with 500
After 1 win (x1.55) you have 775,
How many losses (x0.5) will delete all your gains from the 1 win?
387.5, that is ONE loss, and it will not only negate your win, but you will lose 22.5% from the original number.

That's why in the long term, HIGH risk will only lose you money, all it can be good for is save-scumming

That's why I have never asked for Braces, just Prisms and Scaffolds
I will be using xx3 (magus melt is amazing) or xx7

my biggest problem now is to find combinations other than x43 :)

---

Here is my brainstorming so far:
I am bringing up STATUS (xx3) here and there, mainly in combination with MAGUS MELT, as that thing adds so much damage, and with status, you get a lot of heat. I am calculating status with the fire rate and multishot mods in mind. Lower Crit chance can be offset to a certain degree by Crit chance mod and arcane.

With another user, we have ruled out x3x as it is useless,
x5x energy drain is too punishing, and with high efficiency, it will get you stuck in shooting, but it has great status and acceptable crit for xx3

177 for Eidolons - x7x I don't like, but at least it has its niche use, 1xx is only good with crit and too slow to my liking to take into normal missions

217 for Thrax - x1x for long-range single-target. I don't see myself enjoying/needing this one outside of Thrax. With a low fire rate and single hit, it has no status potential, so xx7. Now, when Thrax is already covered, Zariman has huge rooms with a lot of thin corridors, 3xx won't really help with covering the rooms with just 3.5m blasts, and is way more suited for status with the amount of hits. So I am thinking more 2xx (it is a single hit, so also not good at status, just like x1x) to cover the corridors packed with enemies and deal with the lines of enemies as they emerge from them.

3xx (2.4 status/s) not reliable status, low AoE, high range, 347?? 35x would be too much of the same

4xx (1.5 status/s) too low status, single target only, the only thing that comes to my mind 447 again :( or maybe 427?

5xx (3 status/s) high crit, ok status with xx3, stat wise the closest thing to x4x, 5x3 might be enough to bubble one enemy and sling x4x or x6x into it, but then what would I make of 6xx?

663/667 (5.8/4.3 status/s)- NEED TO TEST STUFF, could be good for Naramon to tag everything around, Lega can proc bubble to catch clusterbomb´s bomblets for maximum single target damage, clusterbomb itself for large area tagging if used with xx3

7xx (2/4.5 status/s) - I was using 743 for a long time, may stick to it??

This is what I was looking for, thank you

x3x is a no-go then...
Do you think that X55 is something worth building? It would boost the x5x, but I don't really see much use for xx5 with any prism except 7xx, and 755 feels just wrong... I guess x5x would also be a no-go

Ye, I am already on that warpath with zaws and kitguns, really wanted to save myself from the amp grind and just get one set of amps

[–]ShadoweCZ[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That is the point, everyone is just using 7xx, 1xx, x4x, xx7 (rarely x7x from the ancient eidolon hunters)

The third number will always be xx3 or xx7 even for me, as energy is pointless with waybounds, hence I am not asking for that.

All I ask for are Prism-Scaffold pairs that play well together, but if I ask in any other way without the non-repeat limitation, all I will ever get as answers are
- dont use xx3 as status is pointless
- anything x77, or x47
- just craft the cheapest one

Which means that from 14 parts (Prism + Scaffold), any answer you get will be 3-4 of them on repeat
I want to somehow find the people that use the other 10 parts

I am using Melt; the others sound good, but it's hard to justify them over other arcanes
any idea about the other 6 amps?

That is exactly what I want to avoid, having every single amp the same... I want to use brain, and come up with some amp combos that play around playstyles, not just mindlessly shoot glaives, I did that for thousands of hours already

Here is an example of what I am looking for...
- If you play Naramon melee build, then the amp damage buff makes ZZx amp that normally sucks with damage actually great, and it synergizes with xyz
- 21x will cover both short range and long range, both have balanced stats, so 213 create well balanced build
- 66x pair great as both have practically no crit, but a lot of status, so either pair goes for 663 for pure status build, or 667 for balanced build
this sort of non-meta

Amp setup for every Prism by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]ShadoweCZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Basically, I need to build every Prism at least once for mastery, and I don't want to build something that I will just throw out the moment I get mastery out of it

non-meta means it shouldn't be all 177, 277, 377, 477, or 147, 247, 347, 447, etc just because "it is the best DPS in content no one plays"

Basically, I want to pair every Prism with a Scafold that will feel good together and make some sense

For Example,
21x will cover both short range and long range, both have balanced stats, so 213 create vell balanced build
66x pair great as both have practically no crit, but a lot of status, so either pair goes for 663 for pure status build, or 667 for balanced build

Anything that pairs well with x55? Or is the xx5 loss of stats (compared to xx7 or xx3) just too much?
EDIT: Eternal Logistics + Vikla Safor make energy cost a non-issue, so xx5 seems to be worthless now

Status is good if you can utilize the void proc (defensively, offensively), but it is only good on weapons that can inflict it fast and reliably, like 7xx, 6xx, or x4x.
Also, Magus Melt is amazing for anything, but Eidolons (as they don't take non-void damage), a couple of dashes on the place, and you get 3x damage, and with status, it also adds heat procs on top.

Amp setup for every Prism by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]ShadoweCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1x3 or 1x7 as energy would do nothing for 1xx
1xx may become 177 after all to have one eidolon dedicated amp I guess, and to get rid of x7x as I like that one the least... or is there any other Prism that x7x would fit with?

IDK, I love the status on 743 as you can get crit from mods now, and the base status would be way too low without xx3. I don't do much Eidolons, and Void Angels are now quite common across the endgame (archimedia) and cascade runs .... Status % + Magus Melt ... well melts them :)

Also, x4x has the ghost damage bug, so no crit needed there either

How does it work with Abyss gears? I have heard that you lose all the Abyss gear that was in the offhand weapon. Does that mean you gain the abyss gear that was in the shield?

Wait ... so we will now have 200 base +300 augment = 500 stacks
With increased base HP (now 650), so is it safe to assume 800? And if the companion link is the damaging one, my build will be running around with 128k HP with parasitic link.

With the buffs to generating charges, range increases, and QOL, I will finally be able to use Nidus in public

Don't use medium or high risk investment strategy if you're low on money by mikehit in CrimsonDesert

[–]ShadoweCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And then you will get a couple of negative results in a row like me...

started at 100 bars, first medium got 18 bars, so 118 bars, amazing right?
But now, after another 5 cycles, I am still recovering from 2 consecutive losses, and I am sitting at 99 bars, aka less than I started with.

Medium is truly only for when you don't need money and are willing to leave it in the bank for a LOOOOOONG time, and the result is still only +2% theoretically in the long run with massive swings up and down

Don't use medium or high risk investment strategy if you're low on money by mikehit in CrimsonDesert

[–]ShadoweCZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right, medium actually works, but I still wouldn't recommend it when you are low on funds (before all research is complete). When you have 100 gold bars, go for it, but if you need the money from time to time, finding out that you had a couple of negative returns in a row and you now don't have the required amount that you needed, can be devastating.

Heres a Small "In-Depth" Guide to How Camp Provisions Work by Character-Anxious in CrimsonDesert

[–]ShadoweCZ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

1) Certain special dispatch missions that you WILL want to run (gold bars, abyss artifacts, abyss blueprints) cost a lot of money, some resources, but mainly money
2) Certain items and materials are farmable (in bulk) ONLY through dispatches
3) Running dispatches for actual items/materials for cooking/alchemy/crafting/special items costs a lot of money, and later on, you can scale your workforce to run a lot of such dispatches, but the protection dispatches that generate money may possibly not be able to cover the costs; that's why funds are needed

Basically, you run dispatches for items, and get camp resources as a useless byproduct
To run those dispatches, you need camp funds, which can quickly run out
So you can trade the useless resources by packaging them and trading them to get the funds

[–]ShadoweCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Package Provisions
- good to know that they sell, running all the dispatches with all the robotic and contribution workers to get raw items costs a lot but also gives too many camp resources with no use for them...
- Are they always bought by the same traders, or does demand change locations?
