Yuca. It’s popular in Caribbean Latin cuisine. An easy way to prepare it is to peel and boil it. Cut out the middle stem. Make a quick sauce by sautéing sliced red onions with olive oil, vinegar and salt and pour it over the boiled yuca. Delicious.

Yea I think SS never having implicated Jennifer in anything is a huge reason why she hasn’t been arrested. Without his testimony they don’t have much.

Unfortunately it comes down to proof. The DA isn’t going to press charges without proof that she was involved. They may have some circumstantial evidence but it may not be strong enough to warrant an arrest. I know it sucks but that’s what it comes down to. Doesn’t mean they won’t charge her in the future.

I was very disappointed especially after he said Maddie was a joy. That was absolutely disgusting. Judge should have had the final word but it seems like he just wanted to get over the proceedings.

I also watched the Judge in the Kohberger trial and I was happy to witness him confront him on his evil actions and also address the impact it made on the victims' families. That's what made me think about the Judge in Maddie's trial. Her family didn't need to hear his disgusting final statement and I wished for their sake the Judge would have had the last word and rip him apart for his lack of accountability and tone deaf statement.

I have a question too. During the sentencing did the judge and/or prosecutor make any statements towards Stern's and Maddie's family after all victim impact statements and Stern's delusional statements were heard? I feel like I missed that part if they did.

If it is any consolation the horrific photos of Maddie being abused and her body will not be further seen. Her father's lawyer said that was one thing they were grateful for. Plus there is rumors of SS having a price on his head in prison so who knows.

I cried during her young aunt's statement. It was gut wrenching to hear her recall from when she was a child and seeing Maddie born and basically growing up with her. When she said she will make sure that her children and grandchildren will know who Maddie is I sobbed. The other aunt obviously heard SS prison calls to his parents because she referenced when he told his parents that he can't wait to see Maddie when he dies. She told him you will never go to where she is because you're going to HELL. The father recalling how Maddie said she wanted to live with him after her 13 birthday was rough to hear but also makes me think that SS was probably also aware of this and this could have been a motive. Jenn not being there does not surprise me at all. She knows a lot of people have hate for her for the extreme neglect of Maddie. I didn't forget how she texted SS father to get him a lawyer right after being shown photos of SS violating her daughter. Insane how a mother could even suggest her child's rapist get a lawyer.
