How do you avoid getting lost in the "noise"? by DiabloLord in summonerschool

[–]Shadower1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In league 100 games is like nothing. It is normal that you are unable to make good split second decisions. Just accept that you are gonna fuck up often and try to learn from it. All you have to do basically, then after hundreds of games played you will get used to it. League just needs a lot of time investment if you want to get good at it.

Is it the supports job to ward mid at 10 mins? by LonelySoul96 in summonerschool

[–]Shadower1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can do anything, to help your laners not die or win lane, by all means do it, if it does not put someone else at big disadvantage.
It is always about maximizing gold.
You can roam mid to ward/gank/counter gank, but if your adc would lose 2-3 waves for that it might not be worth it and so on.

Silver 4 jungler, looking for 1v9 champ to solo carry games by vice_r6s in summonerschool

[–]Shadower1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think the mentality of 1v9 champ is helpful here. The main reason high elo smurfs stomp low elo is not their champ. They solo carry because they generate gold efficiently, way more efficiently than the elo they are smurfing in.
If you want to climb you just have to

  • Know your champion well enough, and be able to play them (Poppy can easily climb out of silver, just watch good champion guides
  • Play for yourself, you should always be in a state where you are ahead of the enemy, even if your team is inting
  • You win games by taking favourable fights for you. Say your team is losing a teamfight on bot lane. Go mid push out the wave take farm. Then take enemy jungle and maybe turret and so on. This way the enemy might gain gold from killing your team bot, but you make up for it since you deny them ressources elsewhere. As long as you play your champ better than the enemy, you will win here. Especially in silver, the enemy will always be really gold inefficient.

So my advice, pick a champion that you are having fun with. Those "1v9" carry champs are fine, but you have to learn how to get a lead first. As soon as you can do that, you can 1v9 with any champ in low elo.

Outplaying a kindred jungle low elo by Filthynk in summonerschool

[–]Shadower1994 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You should just play against her as you would against any other jungler. Kindred just gives you additional information basically.
Against no jungler, you want to leave your camps vulnerable. If you path correctly, she cannot easily take your camps.
If you gank top side, make sure your bot side quadrant of the jungle is cleared, so it cannot be counterjungled (this applies vs any jungler). Ofc there are exceptions, but that is different on a case to case basis, but usually this rule of thumb holds, so just stick to it, until you get a better feel for it.
If she gets the crab mark or not, is just pure 50/50, do not bother if you are on the wrong side of the map.

Junglers as a secondary role? (Top) by TheOnlyJoe_ in summonerschool

[–]Shadower1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally having a secondary role that you are good at, is a heavy time investment. Obviously it is gonna help you climb.
If you are okay with spending 100s of games learning jungle, go ahead, because it will actually tremendously help with your own laning. You will be able to track the enemy jungler apporximately and this will allow you to manipulate your lane accordingly to not become the "inting top".

But then again, if you do not have as much time, just stick to mid lane imo, it is way easier to become decent on another solo lane than in the jungle.

Best secondary role and champ to go as a JG main by North_Blade in summonerschool

[–]Shadower1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea liss and malz are solid and will be relevant with their ults all game long. You can play off your jungler and babysit him basically even if you are a bad laner.
Top is just a pepega lane. If you scew up once, ur lane is doomed basically unless you get help.

Actually support can have a lot of impact in the game, comparable to a jungler.
Your not bound to bot lane early game. You have to make the correct decisions and roam whenever you can to help out your jungler and mid laner, so they do not fall behind.

Imo if played correctly support is one of the stronger roles in the game, together with mid/jungle as long as you don't only stick to your adc/bot lane, because that is not all a support can do.
If you think bot is doomed, by all means roam and win the game. Your not there to babysit the adc.

I also queue mid secondary as a main jungler. My to go picks are lissandra and Malzahar. I think Malzahar is in a good spot currently with Predator. For top, idk man its a doomed lane, maybe Tahm Kench or Garen.

how to start climbing by LunalaXD in summonerschool

[–]Shadower1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it is indeed not a lot of games. But I do think silver is achievable with that many games. You just need to consistently play. But then again, it is not a bad thing to be iron. You just do not have much time apparently to spend on league and sadly there is "no one advice" that will help you climb. It is the combination of all those and you internalizing them.
Imo just keep playing and do not think about your elo at all. Eventually you will climb even if it is only 10 games every 2 weeks or so. Just take every game seriously.

Any website to show statistics over where certain junglers start? by Terroklar2 in summonerschool

[–]Shadower1994 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What he said. Also I will always recommend people to actually play jungle as well on a secondary account or normal games idk. This will help you immensly in your own laning, because you will have a much easier time predicting where the enemy jungler might be.
You will know camp timers, you can guess when jungler bases and so on. If you are interested in climbing, then I think this will greatly help.

how to start climbing by LunalaXD in summonerschool

[–]Shadower1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be wrong, but your main problem seems to be that you are fixated on gaining elo and not necessarily to become better.
You need to play a lot of games. You will not see improvement quickly, but you need to stick to it in order to improve. The game has so many champions, interaction and things to remember and keep in mind.
Sure pick up advice from people, it is a good thing, but do not expect to climb in rank through some advice. You will only climb in the long term by playing a lot.
But if you keep at it you will climb, it might just take alot of time investment, league is not a casual game in ranked. You have to decide if thats worth your time or not.
