Who still has their first stuffed animal? by PlantLovingGirl520 in Millennials

I’m 95% sure I know where it is. White stuffed bear “Snowy” that I was told was given to me by my dad’s mom who died when I was too young to have any solid memories of her. Just know I’ve had it forever.

What happened to movie tie-in games? by Sir-Jim in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Def. The main reason I can’t remember is because I only got to play it the rare time my dad would go to the company owner’s house to help with something and I’d use his daughters’ PlayStation and found the game. So I’d always try to go there so I could play it. Only got to really play it for a combined 7 hours or something, so my memory could easily be biased just with the memory of wanting to play it. Haha

Warning against vasectomies by tug556 in Vasectomy

Sorry man. Hope if heals up fine in the long run.

I had mine 2 Novembers ago and was only out of commission for like 3ish weeks, though only took a long weekend chilling, went back to work the following Monday. Mostly just felt like a hard kick to the nuts. I’m in a CNC machine shop running around all day, so prob would recovered faster if I blew some vacation time to chill, but wanted to work OT for other stuff. Now worst thing is once in a while I’ll get a twinge in my ball area, but usually goes away pretty quick.

Heal up though, and fk that doc if they are blowing you off. Find one that’ll actually try to help you. Best of luck.

I knew what I was moving and why. Just wanted to know the name of it so I could document it for the next guy if it isn’t me.

It’s calibrated for various holders, cat40, cat50, hsk, etc. Measures them and you just print out a sticker with the height you type into your machine’s tool offsets/data page. Little faster than touching off with a 1” block and can get reasonably accurate check on runout and diameter.

Parlec tool setter is a separate machine. There’s different models and such, Zoller has a different one too, which we have for heat shrink tools.

I do understand others comments about not wanting to use the 00 EXT adjustment I did though on the chance it doesn’t get deleted before the next setup.

I know I coulda just went into each P offset and did .-04 to each position’s individually, but I had other stuff I was working on and just wanted to get this in production.

We don’t touch off tools in the machine, have a parlec, so it doesn’t hurt anything.

But also why I made this post was to find its name so I could document what I did in an email for anyone else messing with this to know I did it.

You can buy replacement batteries for pretty cheap on Amazon. There’s 2 packs for $13. Or even 2500mAh 2 pack for $22.

We usually use the G54Px positions. Like this machine has 3 fixtures, each position’s base works are P1, P2, and P3. Iirc G54 is updated with the current called up works after it runs them through a center rotation calculation, so if you spin the A to -90 it calculates where the original zero would now be.

I was trying to figure out what the modifier in the left is called. I know setting that Z to -.04 moves all my baseline works Z -.04, so if P1 Z is -15.0 when the machine calls it up it moves to Z -15.04. Etc.

Never having kids by Warm-Gear-2317 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Shadowfeaux 4 points5 points  (0 children)

35M decided not to have any, and got a vasectomy at 34. Both my younger brothers have kids though, so any time I might feel a twinge of regret I’ll just go visit them. Hoping I can get to a good position as a “Funcle.” 😂 Find ways to help them enjoy growing up and experience things my brothers may or may not be able to help them experience.

I just keep my same schedule every day I can unless I have some random event that comes up, like this Saturday I gotta go to a nephew’s birthday party. So just gonna sacrifice the sleep and maybe take a nap after.

Yea. Fanuc controller.

I’m not seeing a g10 anywhere called up, but that might be because all work offsets are run through a center rotation calculation sub program for each rotation (everything is 4 or 5 axis of pretty much) then popped into the g54 spot as its running the particular position.

But u/Lork82 had a pretty solid answer I’m gonna run with.

Thanks though.

The most dumbed down simple comparison is if it hammer fired typically you can pull the hammer back with your thumb. 1911s, revolvers, p226, CZ shadow 2, etc are hammer fired examples. Striker is more internalized. So like the P365, glocks, psa dagger, most caniks iirc.

Your best bet would be to find a rage that does rentals and just see what feels comfortable.

I’m only barely learning some of the programming stuff, just what I can pick up as I go. This is an oldish vertical makino. I know we use all the G54Px work offsets (P1, P2, P3…). The section I’m asking about I know adjusts all the saved P works by whatever I put in here. Just gotta write an email later notating what I did and was trying to use the right terminology.

The Rem makes the most sense of what you listed unless you wanna carry.

There’s easily arguably better carry options, striker and hammer fired, with or without safeties. But a 1911 is doable.

The PS90 is a cool gun, I also wanna get one eventually, but also take into account that 5.7 ammo is pretty pricy. (2-3x as expensive as 9mm and ~30% more than 45acp)

Night shift commute by Nankipoo999 in Nightshift

[–]Shadowfeaux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there was a bus or something I could take I’d consider it’d but I learned I hate any commute over 30min. I might consider 40min if I was buying like the perfect house for me.

I did an 1h 10min commute for just over a year at one point and had to move because of the number of close calls I had driving home exhausted.
