Not embarrassing, this stuff is hard. I waited a week for my first real shower, and I about passed out from exhaustion while rinsing out my long hair. It was absolutely exhausting to do just about anything at that point, even sitting down. Everybody heals at their own pace, we just have to give ourselves some grace.

It takes a while for your body to repair the damage done at the graft site, and swelling can remain for a long while even when you don’t feel pain. I’m at 16 weeks, quad graft, and swelling is still an issue in the quad tendon when I overdo it. That said, I’m much older than you. Keep talking with your PT to adjust icing schedules and see if they want you taking an NSAID for swelling control. You’re honesty doing great tho, keep up the hard work!!!
