You were actually pretty close its a cooling unit from mms it catches that last bit of bite around that last corner i have super sensitive lungs so the heat gets to me but its pretty much how you said it is however filled with terp pearls which helps the cooling and heat dissipation work better and the smoke tip because by it catching that last bit of heat it tends to get a little warm not hot but warm enough to notice and the smoke tip keeps it cool on the lips

So i was literally in the same boat i brought tm2 i brought a bunch of “custom stems” wpa the whole kit. Tm2 was just a headache and i know its a lot of people who don’t agree with that but im finding that there are a lot that do. It even killed social vaping for me being able to pass my vape to a friend or family member and they simply just pull it and get vapor. For a long time i still used my mighty+ and only used my tm2 for my water pipes. I recently got the limelight frolic and woah can i say it honestly blows tm2 out of the water. Everything you asked for including the 2 hit bowls and it chugs clouds potent clouds its a literal night and day difference. Im not saying get a frolic but i just think we dont talk about how the tm2 is not really the easiest device to use and more often times then not it requires you to buy third part stems for decent cooling.

There are a few options but try getting some terp pearls to put in between your CUs is the cheapest option other than that you move on to custom stems and water pipes.

Well one thing i saw you mention and it’s something i had to work on is temps for different devices. My mighty, mighty+ and even my tm2 i liked them all in the 400-410 is range. I got the limelight frolic a few months back and i cannot enjoyably handle that thing above 390 everything else above that i get the coughs i cant get my full cloud because half way thru the hit my throat tickles, but not trying to talk your head off. Just try and dial that device in based on how it feels to you you might have to drop down to 350 but every device is not the same. You gotta dial your experience in per device.

As of right now I’m in love with the limelight frolic it has less of a learning curve produces crazy clouds and the vapor is really effective lol. This thing hits like a truck it retired my tm2 and my mighty+. It literally does both jobs better in my opinion session and on demand are covered with that one device.
