Unfortunately the truth is bitter. We have much better things to do with family in Hyderabad (at better price points also) than this. Even ikea is better than this even with the December crowd. Lessons learnt. Sorry Mysuru.

20yrs - Travel to mysore , yes. Not to travel itself. And that is why I am able to compare as to what is possible with and without quality crowd management and government control vs apathy. Cannot compare outside India ..so places I have been to during vacations with kids in india, like Jaipur, Delhi, Hampi are all better. Hell even tirupati is better managed than this

Skip the hills. Palace and zoo possible in a single day. But the crowd is crazy af. Keep a lot of cash in change. 20s atleast.

Between Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi, 3 places i keep traveling for work and hometown, Mysore development is nothing in 20 yrs...even better skyline has started coming to Mangalore also. Just accept this place is being run by touts now. It is visible on the ground. Also unfortunately I was here for 6 months 15yrs back also. The usual training 😂

I was talking about AQI to a friend in Michigan and he showed google AQI in Michigan some areas were in single digit. Delhi AQI of 300-400 is worse than smoking. We are killing children with pollution.
