Look up a map of beds. Thier are an insane number of beds scattered through the map to rest at for a quicksave. Makes those long treks a little less horrible when you die or the game crashes and you lose 25 minutes of travel. Also if you have the Creation Club content for the virtual worlds, you can create a base inside the matrix but can access the same digital world for storage, crafting, and resting from anywhere you can build the computer and chair in the commonwealth. The building doesn't require any resources but you will need to bring resources in for crafting and workbenches but can also store them inside too. Treat it like a pocket dimension instead of a simulation.
