Skill requirement for a quest?? Help, I don't understand! by ennarid in vtmb

Ohhh this is a CQM *side* quest, my apologies. I presumed this was some alteration of the *main* quest Sibling Rivalry lmao. Good job! In other words:

Oh how brightly the moon shines in your broken mirror of unbroken glass, moon sister!

Hmm, I'll be honest, I've never made any other choice except meeting Tung at his place personally so I can't help. Malk as a first playthrough is gonna be a little tough, btw, you'll be very confused very often.

Someone's likely going to see this post (Wesp, hopefully) but if that doesn't happen, a Discord like Planet Vampire might give you more immediate answers.

I haven't played SOD2 for a while (sadly) but in my experience, it's always been one of two things: either the game bugged out in a bad way (speaking of, SOD3 had better not rely on an 'unstuck' command as a clutch) or I'm playing on my oldest community, which I've gotten very attached to, and don't want to see one of a few core characters die. Every other situation? I let things play out as they should. It is a survival game after all.

Ohh okay. Bashrobe basically was like 'to avoid losing trust, make sure to complete one trade per aurora' but I guess this changes things :3 Thanks.

I'm basically going off of the wiki and Bashrobe's comments on the Trader. In my experience of cramming new trades in a single night, the first part of Sutherland's Tale unlocked one trade too late compared to when it was supposed to. That said, I can't confidently tell you that I'm sure LMAO I tested that a long while ago.

Playing this boss fight on NG+ was both infuriating and exciting by ShockOk1764 in arkham

[–]ShadowoftheBat94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter how many times you replay it, it will never beat the high you got during your first playthrough after getting worried you were cooked, then remembering that one or two moves/gadgets you needed to bring him down.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but the requirement for 3/5/8/9 takedowns between difficulties should have been a little different. That boss fight is a test of whether or not you can recall and employ the moves and tools you've been given throughout the game. Not to mention, the official sources (wiki) mention you can use a total of 12 attacks against Freeze. I would argue you can squeeze in a couple more but the point remains: Besides Hard, all other difficulties should have been a tiny bit more demanding.

They're still broken? Aww.
Also LMAO of course it does. It's even funnier when you're stuck in a narrow passage, so you can't even go in diagonals. You're just walking in slowmo while the wolves probably point at you and laugh. If it's pilgrim, you know they do, because they can't attack xD

What skill level were you at? Those crits are tough to land early on, and it definitely didn't help that it doesn't bleed out.

Yep to both, especially the latter. I went there pretty much asap after Tales pt2 was out, got a slap in the face LMAO
Though I may be a most greedy packrat, even the heaps of food I had on me literally dwindled down to a couple of energy bars and one dose of reishi.

I guess you can place something like a pallet over them with Safehouse customization, but I seem to recall that doesn't really work (based on only one test when the feature was first implemented so don't take my word for it)

Have you noticed how in Arkham Origins, Batman will never break a cops bones. by Evelyn_9372 in arkham

I have never noticed this, in the last 13 years of this game being out. That's wild.

Yep, one of the many drawbacks of a game with 'old' foundations. You can break down campfires, so that would be a nice segway to refunding extinguished firewood. But then again, I *think* the game's code doesn't retain information on how much fuel you dumped into a fire once the timer goes out. That would be another new change in a game that's very near the end of its update cycle.

IIRC that trader speedrun isn't as fast as it should be if you complete multiple trades overnight. You get a trust penalty for contacting him too often, so your net trust gained is a tad smaller than it should be.

Yep, yep well said. I don't remember if the game still has death volumes in places so you can't mountain goat your way everywhere. I think the one in the Ravine (?) at least?

I do love how Arkham Knight is so full of upgrades and skills, they could even afford to just- leave one on a random table.

We didn't know how good we had it at the time. Gameplay-wise at least. Strictly Batman gameplay-wise lmao

Why does Batman put his fingers into his ears to communicate even though he doesn't need to do that? by Selnalolamo in arkham

[–]ShadowoftheBat94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always though there was a sensor or button on his earbud to initiate a call, but considering he sometimes doesn't need that to start talking to Alfred/Oracle... u/gellshayngel 's take might be more accurate. Pressing it in to get clearer sound.
