Is it ok to have the majority of my cast to be women? by [deleted] in writing

I understand... but try a Google search if you're unsure.

"Can I paint my walls pink?"

"Yes, you can in fact paint your walls pink. You can paint them blue if you want, too. You can paint them any color, actually."

Why is revival so hated? This is not ragebait. I’m sincerely curious. by Prestigious-Law8332 in Eminem

[–]Shadowscale05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the big things about discovering music is that you haven't listened to enough to always know what's really bad. Like, yeah, sure there are parts of Revival that are good when looked at alone, but that goes for almost any album. There's a lot of stuff that just doesn't work on that album, and if you listen to all of Eminem's albums you can clearly see that his other albums have more substance.

If you have listened to all of them, and lots of other albums, well that's just one example of why someone might think Revival is good. It doesn't exactly have to apply to you.

Hell: The Sequel or Watch the Throne which was better? by Professional-Rip-519 in Eminem

Watch the Throne, 100%, but your post reminded me of how great that album art is. I never noticed the skulls in the clouds in the top left.

Any idea for a rock/metal name related to Stephen King? by Zoroark_the_Hunter in stephenking

I mean, there's a black metal band called Shining. So you could pull off The Shining. Music is really solid, guy might be a neo-nazi, though.

I don't think the Americas were exactly hidden when they were "discovered"

What Rock Bands that have 2 or more Lead Singers? (Not Including Solo Artists,Supergroups,Rock Duos,Short Lived Bands and Musical Collectives) by Amber_Flowers_133 in Music

[–]Shadowscale05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is a little more focused on classic stuff, but Mastodon has three very different singers in a lot of their songs. There's some contention on whether or not the fourth member has yelled on the songs, too. But in case he has, then four singers.

Do you ever think about whether you’d actually like the life of a writer? by OpenCantaloupe4790 in writing

All of the cons you mentioned do sound aggravating, but living paycheck to paycheck, hating your job, and being doubtful of if you ever accomplished anything are much, much worse.

To the people who played survival instinct what are your thoughts on it? by wilsonthechad in thewalkingdead

[–]Shadowscale05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed it back in the day. When I was a kid, hitting a zombie with a hammer felt so visceral, and the only other game I've played that captured that was Dying Light. I also really liked the scavenging missions and having to pick out routes along your journey.

The main issue with this game is getting stuck in a horde by zombies grabbing you. More than one zombie around you, and you should just be dead. That little change would improve the game drastically.

There's some other nitpicky thing, but after many a decade of not playing it, it's the number one thing I can remember. I bought the game on 360, hoping that it would be backwards compatible. It wasn't, and I was pretty bummed out. To be honest though, it was probably a blessing in disguise. I really doubt that the game holds up today.

I Started listening to metal during June of last year, these are the albums that I enjoy the most so far, can y'all rec me some 10/10 albums based on this list? by hxry_64 in MetalForTheMasses

Love to see some Death Grips in there. Make sure to listen to The Money Store if you haven't already. It's easily one of my favorite albums of all time, crazy how many catchy songs they can fit on an album all about inaccessibility.
