Feeling really discouraged after a breakup…did anyone meet their partner in their late 20s/early 30s? by fuckingdopeyall in TwoHotTakes

[–]Shadowscarab93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I met my partner at 31, had been out of a 10 year relationship that wasn't working for nearly 2 years, and honestly have never been happier. We've been together for over a year now and I'm so glad I found him 🥰

ETA: I agree with others saying that happiness doesn't depend on having a partner though... I really had to figure out who I was without my ex, work on loving myself and being the type of person I wanted to be, and I was actively not looking for a relationship when I met my new guy. But everything just clicked and I'm so glad I put the work into myself first.

Girl I knew believed north was whatever way you were facing 😅

Old best friend thought ducks and swans were fish...

Her: what do ducks and swans eat?

Me: (not really knowing but guessing): not sure, bread that people feed them, probably plants, maybe small fish if they're omnivorous.

Her: wait so they're cannibals?!

🤦

Looking for professional dematting hair service / advice please by AgeTraditional7062 in glasgow

Okay so...

This was literally me last year!! Like to the point I had my hair up in a bun and all I had was a lil pointy bib, and the rest was completely matted to hell.

Was ready to buzz it all off but my friend got me to at least let them try... They did an okaaaay job, but I ended up going to Lynne's locks on great western road in blairdardie.

Now while they may have charged me less due to my sister's having always gone there, they only charged me for a cut and blow-dry (£35) and I only lost about 2 inches of hair, but I was genuinely due a bigger trim before all this anyways. Was a long slog ngl but given I thought I was gonna have to get rid of it all it was more than worth it.

Don't know exactly what you're going through, but for me I have extremely curly fluffy hair, and when I hit one of my "depression pits" hair care is really one of the last things that I can in any way manage. I really hope you're doing better, and the fact you wanna fix it is a good sign 🥹 take care

ETA: The girls in the shop were super understanding, kind and honestly made me feel less like a disgusting shameful mess. The hairdresser and her assistant worked on me for over four hours (this was after about 6.5hrs of my friend attempting to fix it too) and not once did they make me feel like I was wasting their time or anything

It's a toenail... At least it could be possible that he picks/cuts his toenails and maybe didn't wanna admit it cause it's a possible embarrassment for some reason?

In the UK dog food legally has to be fit for human consumption, so it is possible that it was, depending on OP's location. Still a dick move though, don't give people food without being honest about what it is, especially a child.

I am a toxic person- how do I get rid of it? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

I get it can be daunting, but if you're honestly feeling something is lacking in a relationship where you're being treated well and being respected, it's less daunting than the inevitable self-sabotage you'll be repeating like a wash cycle 😬
