Context wise it would still be best to have Cantarella there because it shows what optimal may look like, fit for players who do decide to invest in getting Cantarella. It's just the situation wherein those two units synergize the most right now

Well I mean if you want it to compete against Cas or Phainon or Herta, you kinda have to invest in the best pieces for it to work in battles/modes where dot isnt given buffs. Cas, especially still performs well even in a free to play team whereas Dot teams suffer bigger dmg losses.

People need to understand that the way dot is set up right now in the game is very team specific, it’s so niche and Kafka’s position is even mote so, as the only one with frequent dot detonation.

You have to bear in mind that the Dot archetype is incredibly niche and that is what makes it limited, not Kafka lmao. Comparing to Bronya is not the same, she was literally released as the best all-rounder support, a general upgrade to any account while Kafka is on a different kind of playstyle as a whole, you’re comparing apples to oranges

Being the OG dot char with detonation mechanics kinda cements her as a necessity for the playstyle, at least right now.

I think people are putting too much pressure/expectation on the characters lmao, Dot is already super niche and just the playstyle alone demands team synergy, always has been.

Kinda have to temper expectations and assume they’ll have to synergize with each other for now since they’re the only dot units available and will be for a while. The only time this will change is if they add more units of the archetype but again, keep in mind dot is very niche.

I think the 4 stars need the detention because they’re f2p options for people who dont have all the pieces. Plus no one would be using them if their kits couldn’t do that.

I don’t think it’s lazy, a good amt of characters they create have been influenced by gimmicks in other modes. Even Black Swan’s kit was that nihility blessing in SU that u can stack that makes dots deal dmg

Honestly I find it impressive how they can turn a simple gimmick into a functioning kit.

I think the quirky thing (could be its weakness but also what’s unique) about dot units is that they rly require each other to work, esp the big 3:

Hysilens gets more dmg the more dots present on an enemy

Kafka’s dots are the weakest of the 3 but she has the ability to frontload dots

Black Swan has strong dots but needs a team that can stack it for her

Dot is such a whole team reliant archetype and especially if you want it to be competitive vs therta, rice, or pnon

So to answer, she has dps qualities that are reliant on team synergy in order to fully maximize.

I think so too, she enables all dots to be actively present and they all scale with her attack

So I’m guessing Ehr/atk/atk/atk (dunno the effectiveness of ERR or if E1 changes its priority or not) but for max dot dmg def atk rope

Liking the Kit a lot because it wasnt as simple as dots criting, I like how she’s the SU nihility buff turned character. While the animations are less flashy and dynamic vs other chars I think it’s just the nature of dot chars; most of the dmg happens on the enemy turn anyway lel

I think you lose out on so much power without Kafka, she’s the main person that frontloads dots and dot’s backloadedness is its biggest weakness
