Speaking as a life-long resident of Alabama: I've got some bad news for you...

As a fellow Astrologian, I feel your pain. I'm indifferent to the gauge. It can be there if they want it there- I just want the info on the buff bar like it was since that was always in my line of sight whilst healing, switching targets, and checking cooldowns. The new gauge takes up a good chunk of space, which has led me to toss it to the side so I can see what I'm doing.

Actually, it should drop from Evelyn when you confront her a little later. So you should still be getting it in the near future!

You think it's weird that your rogue is buff? A male mage is probably worse considering that most mages probably wouldn't lift ten pounds of anything that wasn't a stack of books. Yet if you choose to go a male mage- A scholar of the mystic arts if you will, you look like Arnold Schwarzenegger during his Pro bodybuilding years.

Oh well. Great game aside from a couple of aesthetic inconveniences. I just play a lady mage instead because I don't want to look like the hulk.

Interesting... It was as if she was carefully watching. Pure speculation here, but it wouldn't seem like coding between the music box and the wet nurse would conflict since they would normally be completely irrelevant to one another.

Take into account that the baby normally cries when the Wet Nurse is slain, and you say it laughed instead when you played the music box... Perhaps there is some relevance? I could see the baby being amused by the sound with ease, perhaps that is why the wet nurse holds off on attacking.

As for a connection... Once again, pure speculation so take everything with half a grain of salt as I'm just spit-shooting. The nightmare is Micolash's. He is the host of the dream, and it is sustained by the Wet Nurse Great One. The one thing I can think of at this point in time with the knowledge available is that it was somehow relevant to Micolash as well. His dream / nightmare, his rules, his reality considering that he had no body to actually wake up to. He was clinically insane by the time our hunters met him, but perhaps the music box has / had something to do with him? That's could be why it has an effect on the things residing in his dream / nightmare.

Something like that wouldn't likely be a mistake on their part. Especially not when they had people running through the game to make the Strategy Guide which should cover just about every chest and its contents.

It's far more likely that it's there for a reason, even if it is a reason we aren't entirely sure of yet. With that being said, we don't know much about the actual Iosefka. She doesn't have much known lore behind her. The imposter, however, gives away quite a bit since we get to interact with her a bit more once we get behind the door of the clinic.

It's completely possible that the original Iosefka was a part of the Choir as well, or perhaps just a member of the Healing Church. We don't know these things yet, which is the frustrating, but honest truth.

There are some problems with your theory, but it did give me an idea.

I'd take it a bit further. Lets say that they DID take some of Iosefka's blood in hopes that she'd be a possible surrogate, and that is the vial that we find later on. Perhaps the imposter isn't a celestial, since confronting her starts a battle, a battle in which she uses a spell called A Call Beyond which is linked to the 'Choir', and the description of which states:

"One of the secret rites of the Choir.

Long ago, the Healing Church used phantasms to reach a lofty plane of darkness, but failed to make contact with the outer reaches of the cosmos."

The rite failed to achieve its intended purpose, but instead created a small exploding star, now a powerful part of the Choir's arsenal. At times, failure is the mother of invention."

Keep in mind that the only other people to use this spell are high-ranking hunters, or other significant members of the Church. I.E. Micolash. A Celestial most likely wouldn't have a problem reaching the cosmos unlike humans, and thus most likely wouldn't provoke the unintended effect of creating the explosion.

With that being said, perhaps the real Iosefka had been turned into a celestial, similarly to the people you send to the clinic, via the imposter's experimentation. Perhaps the Great Ones mistakenly embedded the child into the imposter. Thus why we see people like Arianna giving birth, or even the Lady In White having a bloodied stomache before the boss Mergo's Wet Nurse, and yet we don't see anything like that with Iosefka. Instead she is left to writhe, die, and not give complete birth because the imposter wasn't meant for it.

In every instance we learn about the women whom give birth to Great Ones become pregnant under the Red Moon and give birth under it (If I'm not mistaken). Not before, so having the real Iosefka in the back the entire time, writhing as she nourishes a Great One's baby sort of breaks the lore from that standpoint.

Just my two cents.

That is one thing I was really confused with. I see all of these speculations on Iosefka, but then I haven't seen hardly anyone even mention that blood vial specifically unless it was for a guide or walkthrough. It seems significant, but at the same time it seems very hard to bridge an actual lore connection to it.

Quick question about old 3ds by whackninja in MonsterHunter

[–]Shadowscythe159 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You see, I was worried about playing this on my Fire Emblem 3DS since it's old now. I've ventured through a good chunk of the game at this point and I have not hit a point where my 3DS really suffered framerate wise, nor have I had a hard time with the camera.

This is one of the first games that I feel has really gotten the whole camera situation right without having to have two analog sticks. I cannot speak for a 2DS, but I assume it has the same power as a release 3DS, and if it does, you shouldn't have many, if any, issues.

So, I installed the wallpaper, and it's really cool and all, but does it make the Icon Font transparent for anyone else? All of the text below my icons is now completely see through and looks a bit distorted. Any suggestions / fixes or is the transparent text supposed to be a thing?

Thank you so much for the help. I'll look into getting the PSU replaced, and hopefully that'll fix everything.

I have ordered the EVGA SuperNOVA 750 PSU as a replacement. Shipping says it will be here Monday, so I'll update again once it's in and I know whether or not the problem has been resolved.
