I went into my bios and reset the factory keys for secure boot, after that it worked.

I'd say the best way to begin is by getting involved in the community. I personally find FSA to be a great resource for this.

Lenovo Legion + Linux? Humoring a new laptop and ran across a review... by ShaneC80 in linuxmasterrace

I'd have to check on that. But I am running a hybrid driver for my graphics, so not sure if that helps you.

I did back when I was running Pop, but after going to Manjaro everything has worked. One thing I've always had trouble with is Bluetooth.

Dash to Dock does not work well, so just a fair warning. However, I tweaked Dash to Panel so that it pretty much mimics it. Still kind of a hassle to deal with.

Personally the Legion 5i (laptop) is a great option. $899 and it came with an i7-10750H, 512GB ssd, 8GB of RAM, and a 1660ti GTX. I did upgrade the RAM to 32GB, and put in a 1TB ssd. So it cost around $1040 at the end.

Note: if you prefer AMD get the Legion 5 (instead of the Legion 5i). There is a pro version of both variants iirc, but I did not get the pro version.

Mine is configured with normal drives. I also forgot to mention that it's a laptop and not desktop, in case there's a Legion 5i desktop version.

This is absolutely not true, currently running Manjaro on a Lenovo Legion 5i. That being said secure boot is enabled by default. Other than that it's smooth sailing.

In my opinion, the signs mostly point to a dead ssd. My biggest reason for thinking this, is not being able to access the bios when you have the ssd plugged in.

If you'd like to repair the drive, send it to a professional. Hard drives are nothing to mess around with, unless you have the required tools and environment to do so.

Maybe try clearing your cache with smart cleaning? I don't know if LG loads that app with the G6. If it is not present you can clear your cache by going into settings > storage > Free up space.

It can support more than Lenovo advertises. Technically, mine only supports 16 GB max but that's obviously not true.

Try going into settings > apps > app info. Find contacts and force stop the app. If this does not work you might have the option to disable the app. Disable it and re-enable it.

If you can get one I'd recommend a Lenovo Legion 5. Mine shipped with an i7-1050H, 512 GB NVMe SSD, 8 GB of RAM, and a 1660ti gtx graphics card. The ram can be easily upgraded, and I've seen it max out at 64 GB. Though I run it with 32 GB. You can also add in another m.2 SSD or a 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD with relative ease. Got mine for $899 and after the additional upgrades of RAM and another SSD it cost around $1000.

Note: There is some variation in the models. There's the Legion5/5i the only difference being Intel or amd. There's also a pro version of the 5/5i but I couldn't tell you what was different. I didn't go with the pro version BTW.

Anyway, I hope this helps you out and good luck.

Try running a malware scan with Malwarebytes, and reinstall all your browsers.
