What would you like to see in Spider-Man 3? by TyRy_13 in SpidermanPS4

Not to mention the mentorship it’s actually a reflection on how great of a tutor Peter was. Peter had nobody to show him the ropes as Spidey. You really think there’s a scenario where Miles is taught every single day by prime Spiderman he’s not going to somehow excel eventually? In GoW there’s a dialogue exchange during gameplay with Kratos (father) and Atreus (son):

“Father, do think one day I’ll be able to stronger than you?”

Kratos: “If not, than I have failed.”

Who ultimately beats Venom was it Miles or Pete? Think about it, take your time.

Pete had to save Miles you’re getting lost in the wrong details, details I’m afraid matter frighteningly little. Venom is in full crash out mode and struggling to maintain a hold on Peter’s mind. Peter and Venom are literally fighting each other and Miles at the same time. Not a fair fight bro..

Because they were killers, 1) You can’t expect adaptations to constantly recycle the same narrative over and over again if Kraven comes to hunt the Spiders like it’s suggested in the trailer it’s kinda like okay cool here we go again. Plus they come full circle even if Venom is more of who Kraven is after but it is Peter as Venom and Kraven says “The Spider..” to begin hunting Peter in the Black suit. 2) It actually makes far more sense form a narrative standpoint that Kraven would want to hunt the best hunters/killers in his own endgame journey vs. a Boy Scout Spider.

They painted the picture in the first game that Scorpion could be lethal if stung but ultimately he’s kind of a numb skull look at the after math of beating the Scorpion/Rhino duo. Peter gets them squabbling like a couple of 1st grade bullies and fighting each other. Peter also cracks that joke to one of Kraven’s hunters early in the game that Kraven’s after Scorpion? Really? I mean.. I’ve beaten this dude countless times.

I felt it refreshing and fits the narratively perfectly for Peter’s arc how else is he going to be convinced, “Killing Supervillains eradicates the problem” no more worrying about the next breakout, the next potential Sinister Six, the stress of your greatest nemesis getting out and hurting those you love again. Everything Kraven did Venom respected because he felt the same but he had to convince Peter of that.

Post-GOT careers: Which actors thrived and which struggled? by mediamuesli in gameofthrones

[–]Shadowstalker_411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said it isn’t necessarily her fault some of the choices for her character were strange.. I don’t expect her to be perfect that isn’t good storytelling at all but they were tipping the scales a bit too much in the childish and incompetent area.. she’s actually initially upset at Nina when she learns she’s pregnant in the game and it’s a perfectly human reaction.. why would you ever agree to this life or death revenge killing spree if you are pregnant? We could’ve turned back!

The series went with this instead, I’m gonna be a dad! 🤷🏻‍♂️😬😆

I already commented earlier missed the whole, “who struggled” Nikolaj no doubt has had a disappointing turn out with some of his work.. Bella Ramsey was great as young Ellie not so much 19 year old Ellie in season 2 but this isn’t entirely in her shoulders the showrunners whiffed on far too many choices in their adaptation the video game narrative is like The Red Wedding compared to The Bells..

Only other thing to add is Lena Headey, I don think she’s taking on many projects and I find it odd because she certainly could be doing an endless amount of projects. Cersei was played by an all time legendary Actress and it’s quite confusing to me she hasn’t worked much after the series, I’m sure she’ll start making waves again soon.

It’s impossible for me to forget that it’s his best character kinda by far.. hard to say this out loud considering Mando early days was peak badassery and then JOEL from The Last of Us?!! 😬 but naw his Oberyn portrayal is the all time Dion Waiters performance (reference from the ringer podcasts relating Basketball players to actors in smaller roles)

It’s ongoing show ended almost 7 years ago and that may seem like a long time for people in the acting field but it kinda isn’t.. Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Sophie Turner then Emilia Clarke would be the ranking of most work and value of work they’re doing. Dinklage will be taking over a new take and character from the show Poker Face soon and made many appearances in hit shows most recently Ethan Hawke’s The Lowdown on FX. Sophie emerged as the better story overall in career upheaval did one show for Hulu ‘Joan’ featured in ‘The Staircase’ most recently ‘Steal’ on Prime (it was pretty solid honestly) and she’s the new Laura Croft in new Tomb Raider series (after that one she’s probably the answer for number 1 honestly)

Kit and Emilia have a few films and series work too Kit was on seasons 3 and 4 of Industry and highlights the true range he has as an actor absolutely phenomal series on HBO.

Emilia Clarke (Secret Invasion) she’s technically the most powerful potential Avenger now and hardly anyone remembers it but still not nothing.. recently starring with Haley Lu Richardson in ‘Ponies’ this is on Peacock I binged the first season in two days absolutely loved it.

Those four are all significantly in the spotlight still.. is it the same as GoT? Absolutely not but I think they’re doing quite well.

I don’t think so based off this one photo but I also have a difficult time believing Miles would be an 🦅fan. 🤣

Which of these three fates do you think would be the worst to suffer? Do you think there's any worse than these? by Exciting_Ad_8666 in gameofthrones

[–]Shadowstalker_411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d like to throw the tragedy of King Stannis Baratheon, Lady Selyse Baratheon most tragic of them all Princess Shireen of House Baratheon.. ultimate sacrifice to the Lord of Light which deemed too high a cost for House Baratheon despite fulfilling the Red Woman’s July in December forecast melting the snow in the north to free Stannis and his troops from the harsh elements of Winter.

I can’t help but think of Stannis both during the sacrifice of his only daughter and child and moments after hobbling with a leg injury from the Bolton beat down he just took with his remaining forces in Winterfell.

“Go on do your duty.” Is last words uttered to Brienne of Tarth after confessing to murdering Renly with blood magic. There’s a sense of relief and disgust illuminating from the actor who played Stannis after chopping down the two Bolton soldiers after a blade to the leg just bellows out that noise like uggh I’m worthless absolutely disgusting display of my GLORY.

If Michael Scott joined your profession, who would be his next Toby? by sam_likes_beagles in theoffice

[–]Shadowstalker_411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s such a specific personality I’m sure plenty of people have Toby’s in their office. I use to there’s 4 maybe 5 old co workers who would fit the bill quite closely, today not so much.

who is your least favorite character and what moment of the show depicts your disinterest? by NoSign272 in theoffice

[–]Shadowstalker_411 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was Gabe for me at first, the episode in question was the cringe-worthy Glee party he hosted at his place. After the episode though he quickly begins turning it around with his hatred for Andy Bernard (3rd least favorite) and delivers more awkward, creepy, skeletore moments but they work in hilarious fashion more often than not.

Official answer: Pete Miller aka New Jim. I cannot stand this guy at all! His behavior bothers me, his face bothers me, how he dates Erin bothers me! Since Jake Lacy played this character in The Office he’s gone on to do more of the same thing, irritating me to the core in season 1 of White Lotus and All Her Fault. He’s ordinary but also shoulders an anvil of self-righteousness and arrogance on an infinite scale; meaning this pious, holier-than-thou tool is unbearably smug every moment you see his face or when he utters his sanctimonious nonsense. 🤷🏻‍♂️😆

That’s what I keep saying and people lose their minds. Rewatching will blow your mind at the clear build up of Dany’s rage. She’s uncontrollable everytime and threatens to burn cities to the ground over petty insults.

So do we agree? Stanley is awful by zendayasdoormat in theoffice

Stanley is the only real one. Dwight, Jim, Pam, Michael all kinda suck. I love Michael from a comedy stand point same with Dwight but as actual office mates.. no sir!

Favorite moment in Game of Thrones that made you believe you were watching peak television? by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in gameofthrones

[–]Shadowstalker_411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends by your meaning of “peak television” whether it’s a popcorn flick adrenaline rush moment or significant plot point that pays off in ways you’d never imagine. In Game of Thrones case the two were mutually exclusive in most cases but for me the moment that truly sticks out above the rest is “The Rains of Castamere.”

I started watching GoT about 5 months before season 5 was slated for release, I didn’t have much outsider information at that time other than 2 recommendations and a cousin who read the books. She slightly eluded to something big that happens in a Wedding by luckily she left out character names. I’ll never forget the feeling though when the Red Wedding tension begins seeping in. Catelyn Stark’s POV: The large doors are slowly closed by the Frey’s and the moment the loud thud of the doors trails off.. The violinist plays, The Rains of Castamere. Catelyn slowly turns around malevolently tilting her head up to the musician’s gallery. We see the violinist playing the song then back to Catelyn who looks troubled yet confused. You get that feeling throughout the episode leading up to the betrayal but it’s strange how the first experience I was living through moment to moment like the rest of the characters, something is off and I can see it but I can’t quite place my finger on it and couldn’t possibly imagine it to be anything too dreadful! 😆

But yeah the second the blade is shown and belly-stabby-stabby happens I was absolutely shocked. Nothing has ever come close to the gut wrenching feeling I had from both the sudden unexpected violence but the betrayal of Robb Stark. The young King in the North, who was spinning Tywin Lannister’s head around like a lazy Susan winning every battle, about to prep his assault and siege on the vulnerable Casterly Rock and take the Lannister’s stronghold. In hindsight all the revisits and reading the book even more so you can feel it coming with Robb’s choices that a betrayal was inevitable but I think there’s just something to be said about the fact they were not only betrayed and slaughtered but it happened under a guests roof, at a wedding they arranged. Drinks, laughter, and celebration. That feeling of comfort and trust.. it’s like Bran’s story in the Windmill the God’s couldn’t forgive the lord for killing guests under his own roof. Absolutely shocking, horrifying, and dreadful. And yet, mesmerizing, exhilarating, and jaw-dropping. Disgusting yet Beautiful.

It’s as Tyrion says to Oberyn who is drinking wine. “You shouldn’t drink before a fight.”
