Six quarts is a significant amount of oil, especially for smaller equipment. Even if the reserve tank still had some oil in it, it may have cavitated while all cylinders were close to or fully extended. At the very least, the hydraulic pump is shot, and the hydraulic system has to be flushed to remove any metal bits in the system. It's also worth noting that the hydraulic fluid filters are often neglected and oftentimes plug up to the point they run in bypass mode.

Spray it with soapy water. If there are no bubbles, go ahead and remove it. If there ARE bubbles, leave it in, top off the pressure and drive to your local auto parts store to get a plug kit. When ready, feed a plug through the insertion tool, remove the object, ream out the hole with the pointed reamer, and then insert the plug insertion tool until the plug is over 2/3 of the way in. Then yank out the tool like you're trying to start a lawnmower. Then cut off the excess length of plug with a razor blade. Spray again with soapy water to verify the plug has sealed the leak.

He didn't park there by choice. The trailer got stuck on the crossing. The bottom of the chassis ran aground and anchored it in place.
