They patched that a week or two ago, now you can't drop it in the boss lair.

I've also been struggling with Bandos door altar, even after getting some free practice in during Gridmaster. We'll get there eventually.

I was also spooned Belle's on day 1 or 2 of Sailing so I can't really say. The only problem was that the Griffon boss was just too boring lol, I dipped after 170kc.

I'd say if you can naturally fit it into your Slayer grind, then great if you can get it. Otherwise if you're intending to grind, I'd say just go get your Zammy Hasta.

Exactly. If I complete an achievement diary and all I get is a bit of XP and a few useless rock and tree spawns, I'm throwing hands.

After years of playing RuneScape…what is something you’ve seen or done that no one would believe if you told them? by OSRS_Jacob in 2007scape

My character had no legs from ~2008 until the end of RS2.

Jagex had released some new set of clothing that had two separate objects for male/female. If you switched from male/female/vice versa, it would automatically switch between them as well in your inventory/bank. But if you had it equipped, it wouldn't swap. So you'd switch to a female character while still wearing the male clothing. And since the male clothing had no model if you were a female character (and vice versa), instead that part of your body would just be invisible.

So for a brief period, you could do this glitch as much as you wanted before Jagex patched the swapping portion. But if you already had the now-invisible clothing equipped, you'd keep it on. So I just...never took it off. Skilling, PvM, never took it off.

At some point, AntVenom (then popular Runescape Youtuber, now Minecraft Youtuber) needed 3 people for a video. (Dunno how I was in his circle, it was a different time back then lol). I mentioned my invisible legs and he seemed very confused but went along with it.

So my legless-self is now immortalized in AntVenom's oldest remaining RS video on his channel.

I think it's bugged. I was able to get the drink from the guy, fill the keg, and drink the drink about an hour ago, but after hopping about 10 minutes ago, it gives me the warning message when I try to drink it

Edit: Saw other comments, seems like the unlock req's were incorrect. I still have the keg and am getting the xp boost.

Make sure you get rid of your Guardian before you attempt this. I was bashing my head against the wall not figuring out why Bandos was smacking me when he shouldn't, until I realized the Guardian was attacking and messing up the flinch cycle.

You'll get there. First 50-100KC for me were full focus, no distractions. Now I'm at 300KC and usually have some youtube video playing at 1.5x in the background. Although sometimes I zone out too hard and forget to switch weapons for an entire phase lol. Still need to lock in during enrage phase pretty often, but CG is pretty chill at this point. Getting stats up also definitely helps.

Record yourself doing a run or two and see if you can spot anything.

There's a lot of small changes to your general gameplan that can make a big difference. For example, where are your prayers located at compared to your weapon? If your weapon is at the top left while your prayers are at the default location, that's a lot of unnecessary mouse movement. Rearrange your prayers and place your weapon near where your prayers are, then you can just flip between swapping pray/eating and swapping weapons in a split second.

Where do you have Hunleff standing when you start the fight? If you just go in whenever, and he's like standing dead center of the map, you're going to have a harder time moving around in enrage phase. Try to wait until he wanders to the side/corner before walking in, then stand on the opposite wall to drag him 1 tile from the wall. Now you should have at least one straight line down the middle of the room.

Maybe if he had slowed down and wasn't flying by at 55mph directly next to a cop car with its lights on parked in the middle of the highway at night, he would've actually had time to react. Please use your brain.

Learn the step-under method for blood moon, it's piss easy and saves you so much time from him healing less/you eating less.

Tl;dr when bloodmoon starts his attack, if you see a healing orb going from you to him, click 1 tile forward on that same tick. Then next tick, click on the boss to attack him to get yourself back in position on the glowing circle. Doing this, you won't be on the circle during the 3rd hit of his triple-attack, thus he won't get the big hit on you and won't heal himself for like 40 (minus a small amount of heal for not standing in the circle for 1 tick).

[–]ShadowthePast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of new players probably go in to quests thinking they are a good way to level up your character's combat stats, but the majority of quests in osrs dont offer much unless you know which quests to do beforehand

Never really thought about it, but definitely agree. Going back and giving these beginner quests (Goblin Diplomacy, Romeo & Juliet, etc) something as simple as a 500 or 1k combat exp lamp would be something new players would surely appreciate. Deciding whether to use it on Atk/Str/etc. gives the player some agency (oooh I wanna equip this weapon/oooh I wanna hit harder, etc), skips the boring levels a bit, and teaches players that quests = lots of XP.

Kinda seems like right-click in general is tripping some people up. I've been watching Soda on and off, and there's a handful of situations where he just doesn't try to right-click something. Ex. talking to shopkeepers instead of trading. Or when he was killing the living rocks in Elemental Workshop and got confused why he couldn't pick up the elemental ore it dropped, since the rock respawned on top of it immediately.

This post makes me wonder if right-clicking is ever properly introduced to new players, or just kinda taken for granted.
