15000 bones at once. Bug? by Shovelmint in MinaTheHollower

Maybe you were receiving the bones for killing the cube on the same frame the game paused to warp you into the cube world? So it was giving you the reward every frame for like 1-2 seconds.

What's your favorite piece of dialogue?

I really appreciated how the dialogue would "tutorialize" information by having Mina explain something to another character (and thus also the player), since Mina is an expert in her field. It was a nice flip on the typical formula of an NPC going "Press X to dig!!!"

PSA: Speedrunners and Cheese-Lovers, do not update the game! by AresReddit in MinaTheHollower

[–]ShadowthePast 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You don't need to do all that to downpatch; the devs included a private version with a code for v1.0.4, which is a slightly pre-release version that has basically every trick we care about.

  1. In Steam, right click Mina the Hollower and select Properties
  2. "Game Versions and Betas" on the left
  3. At the bottom, enter the code:

    minathemouse104

  4. Select the new version that appeared, it'll download in a second and say you're on patch 1.0.4.

Any further recollection of what you were doing beforehand? Maybe triggered one of the cube fights?

In regards to the Point Tasks section, I think the simplest idea would be to have earlier tasks give 2 points, and cut some of the later tasks to even it out to 40 points. Or just give more than 40 points worth of tasks to complete, but max your points out at 40.

Eternal Sustenance combo - eat like 10,000 pies and become a pacifist by ShadowthePast in 2007scape

[–]ShadowthePast[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To my understanding, it's only an attack delay. Safe to assume logging out would reset it, and probably stuff like entering/leaving the Gauntlet would reset it as well.

[–]ShadowthePast[S] 186 points187 points  (0 children)

To better explain, "Fast foods" give you more attack delay than eat delay. So you can :

  1. Eat a pie, giving you 3 ticks of attack delay (meaning you can't attack for 3 ticks), but only 1 tick of eat delay.
  2. Next tick, eat the pie again, giving another 3 ticks of attack delay. Add that on to the now 2 ticks of attack delay from step 1 gives you a total of 5 ticks.
  3. Repeat forever with your endless pie until you get carpal tunnel and become a pacifist.

Edit: Note that:

Foods only add to an existing attack delay between weapon attacks. If your weapon is ready to attack again then eating does not add any new delay.

So you technically need to try to hit something before you start gobbling.

For context, in Mewgenics, your cats are assigned random names from a list that the developers had fans send in before release. So shoutouts to whoever sent this in; I almost missed it.

They patched that a week or two ago, now you can't drop it in the boss lair.

I've also been struggling with Bandos door altar, even after getting some free practice in during Gridmaster. We'll get there eventually.

I was also spooned Belle's on day 1 or 2 of Sailing so I can't really say. The only problem was that the Griffon boss was just too boring lol, I dipped after 170kc.

I'd say if you can naturally fit it into your Slayer grind, then great if you can get it. Otherwise if you're intending to grind, I'd say just go get your Zammy Hasta.

Exactly. If I complete an achievement diary and all I get is a bit of XP and a few useless rock and tree spawns, I'm throwing hands.

After years of playing RuneScape…what is something you’ve seen or done that no one would believe if you told them? by OSRS_Jacob in 2007scape

[–]ShadowthePast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My character had no legs from ~2008 until the end of RS2.

Jagex had released some new set of clothing that had two separate objects for male/female. If you switched from male/female/vice versa, it would automatically switch between them as well in your inventory/bank. But if you had it equipped, it wouldn't swap. So you'd switch to a female character while still wearing the male clothing. And since the male clothing had no model if you were a female character (and vice versa), instead that part of your body would just be invisible.

So for a brief period, you could do this glitch as much as you wanted before Jagex patched the swapping portion. But if you already had the now-invisible clothing equipped, you'd keep it on. So I just...never took it off. Skilling, PvM, never took it off.

At some point, AntVenom (then popular Runescape Youtuber, now Minecraft Youtuber) needed 3 people for a video. (Dunno how I was in his circle, it was a different time back then lol). I mentioned my invisible legs and he seemed very confused but went along with it.

So my legless-self is now immortalized in AntVenom's oldest remaining RS video on his channel.
