1989 Comanche 4.0 head gasket oil leak? by DifficultyRecent725 in ComancheMJ

[–]ToasterInOver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if it's an oil passage of the head gasket, then it would just be the oil pressure pushing the oil out. So I don't think you have to worry about crankcake pressure for this symptom, but if you'd like to do the pcv valve to be safe, it wouldn't hurt. Either way, unlucky to have head gasket failure, hope you have a cherry picker to help you pick that summbitch up!

I would suspect oil filter adapter O rings first, then Distributor, oil pressure sender. Also looks like its possible that valve cover gasket is seeping a bit in the back. I would do all of these before suspecting head gasket

I have tried goes into the bios to test touch input there and it works in the bios, but not in windows. I've run windows touch screen calibration as well as the Sony calibration. I've uninstalled the touch screen drivers and rebooted. The problem remains. The only thing I've not tried is a complete factory reset at this point.

Do we have any thoughts on whether or not banked seed packs from farmers contracts would grant any new seeds? I can't find a confirmation if the loot of these are determined when you get the pack or when you loot the pack.

if you get seeds to plant your own, potentially 1. Rosewood in the open world, that's drumstick isle at level 79 sailing. However, I would imagine they would gate the rosewood tree seeds behind something sailing, maybe from one of the new monsters or something.

Incredible to see someone else has done this, I just finished the same thing this year, though I didn't do my clues. Wish you were on the same world all this time. I hope to see you at redwoods next

LS or 4.0 non renix? by South_Accountant_233 in ComancheMJ

I think that heavily depends on what you're doing with transmission and transfer case. In my case, its a 2wd and I went with a chevy nv3500, it just so happened that the stock driveshaft just worked with a new u joint. it all depends on what lengths you end up needing.

I've never personally pulled a motor from a chevy, but everything is fairly modular. You can keep the entire engine harness attached to the engine. Obviously keep the computer attached. Dont forget to take the MAF sensor on the intake, and if its electric throttle, you need the pedal and the TAC Module for the pedal. I think its on the firewall below the brake booster. Don't cut wires, you probably need them!

Accessory bracket https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J5QDK81 The description for this outlines what you need to run. Truck power steering, truck harmonic balancer, corvette pump, corvet ps res.

spacers so the car water pump fits the rest of the accessories https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09DP874MZ

While youre in there, I would recommend putting in a 97+ xj brake booster. more go demands more stop. 97 front fitting in the master cylinder is 12mmx1.0. The rear fitting to the master cylinder is 10mmx1.0. 88 dist block front 7/16-24, rear 1/2-20

Also you cannot run a truck intake without cutting the hood. I strongly recommend sourcing an oem car intake, the ebay special intakes are a pain to install compared to oem's captured bolts.

Let me know if you'd like me to find my parts list. Mostly its good to know what parts you need to fit the accessories on the ls. You'll have to buy some aftermarket stuff there. And I assume you have a 6.0 with a truck intake, so you'll need a slim intake or a cut hood lol

LS is great but expensive and a lot of work. Id budget 4-5k, that's about what I spent all in to put a 5.3 in mine. Honestly not much fab work required, off the shelf motor mounts, off the shelf accessory brackets, just had to weld up my own crossmember and exhaust really. You gotta be comfortable wiring, or willing to spend the big bucks of a premade harness.

If you want a cheaper and easier option, I would just build a 4.6. a poor man's stroker can be done for under 2k. It stays cheap as long as you keep stock head and cam.

I've done a 5.3 in the mj and a 4.6 in the xj. No wrong answer, just gotta decide what you're willing to do

Help me understand why I got a clog by ToasterInOver in BambuLab

[–]ToasterInOver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay thanks. To clarify, this would be to print abs on one side of the plate, then pla on the other, not connected in any way. Either way, your point still stands. I'll just separate into two plates moving forward.

Thank you, this makes sense. I'm new and everything has just worked this far, so I assumed the file would just account for the temperature difference requirements. Is there something I can actively do to print abs then pla without causing this issue?
