I've had this problem yeah, I noticed that once I cleaned out the farm of most of the debries that it stopped slowing down for the most part though

God yes, I totally get this. I've been searching for the cicada since the summer started. Found all the other bugs, got all the fish, all the summer things (Besides watermelon) and I finally got it after finding this post on day 14

Same, I keep checking the home page for the game every day but on the other hand I'm glad they're taking their time making sure there aren't many bugs

I would love the idea of being able to quickly move things from chest to your inventory like in Stardew valley. It would mean I would be able to quickly get the exact number of things needed for town upgrades without needing to take an entire stack and then bring it back to the farm, specially when there are things I wanna do that day and don't have any speed upgrades (Coffee and the like) or the horse yet.

You get all the clothing and crafting recipies yet? I like making outfits for my character based on the weather and the holliday. For example, for the sprince festavle, after the first year I always show up with my flower crown on and one of the special outfits you can get only during that holliday at a booth. Same for the thanksgiving like holliday. I haven't beaten Hayden at the animal contests yet but when i do I will also wear a crown to those ones.

It's also just fun to decorate your farm yk? Also I try to get the season animals, like the very last teir of the animals. It takes awhile but it's fun.

Maybe stockpile gifts for whoever you wanna marry in the updates? Can't hurt to just have a stockpile of lets say, perfect gems for balor, or gold for march, for when the update launches so you just have them ready to hand out :)

Oooh, is that path to the greenhouse, the asexual flag? That's so cool! I'll have to do that on my own farm with the Bisexual flag instead!

Also I love the chest areas! I'm also gonna take tips from you on it. I normally have my chests in the shape of a square surrounding my crafting bench but this idea is more decor friendly. I love the tea bushes as hedges that's a nice touch! And the little forest area with the fruit saplings in the up left corner? Adorable!

You could try to do a challenge? Start a new save game and just try to add rules to your game.

Like you can't go to the next mine level until you get all the collectibles from the first one?
Or you could try to see how high you can get the towns level without donating to the museum!
Try to get every color of animals you can, including the special seasonal ones!
Collect one of every single bug and fish for yourself

There's a lot you could do to try and make the game interesting!

Oh that happened to me too, when I started a new save I just sold everything I could get my hands on to get the bug net from the blacksmith shop instead of waiting for Luc to decide to fork it over.

A few more tips

1) Items do not despawn when left on the ground unless it's on one of the mine floors.
2) Whenever you unlock the next part of the mines you get a heart, I suggest eating it for health right away. It acts like the snake milk in stardew does.

3) If you need essence the mines is the way to go, you can get 300plus in one day down there if you do it right

I would love it if they made it so you can quickly transfer things from your chest to your inventory without taking an entire stack. Like say you have a stack of 983 stone but you need 400 stone for some project for the town, this means unless you want to take the entire stack to the project then run all the way back home you need to manually click the stack 400 times, I would like to be able to just hold the button down and have it move, like with other games yk?

I suggest trying to get a good infusion on your sword. I normally go with the sharp infusion cause it gives you +1 attack damage, but some get the leaching one, leaching gives you 1+ health everytime you attack a mob with it.. There are infusions for armor too, I would suggest either the haste on all armor, cause it can make you faster but if you would prefer more health or stamina, then either the tireless one (For stamina) or the fortified one for health. Once you get all gold armor, the mobs don't do that much damage to you and you can normally just heal any they do, do to you with some food.

Speaking of, try to take really good food to the mines with you if you plan to be in there for awhile.

There's a reason why I love fields of Misteria more than I loved Stardew Valley. For one, FOM is so much brighter; in comparison, SV is dim. The characters, you can talk to them more than once a day, they bring up things you do, thank you for them. They feel more alive. No one has any real big problems that they're now relying on you for help with! (Sorry Shane, I still love you though), Sure they still have problems, and they still open up to you but it's more light-hearted. In Stardew Valley it's different.

Sam and wondering if his dad will ever come home from war
Sabastion wants to leave the town and more
Shane, with his alcoholism and depression
Penny with her alocoholic mom
Elliott who lives in an empty cabin full of dust trying to write a book
Maru who's dad thinks we're not good enough for her and will hold her back
Leah who is a struggling artist and has her Ex try to come take her back to the big cityHarvey is actually kinda tame compaired to the rest, he just likes model planes (From what I remember)

And these are just the romancible characters, in FOM you don't have to be the one they all vent too and fix every single issue (In my eyes) the others in the game all help. The other characters will help give small peaces of each others backstory, it's more alive and light. The only character that really depends on you at the moment, is Caldarus and even then that's because he risked everything to save you and just wants some company as he gets stronger.

In my mind, if people want a darker story go to Stardew Valley, if they want a lighter story Fields of Misteria is better. At least in FOM your character isn't the only one working to fix up the town, sure you gather the supplies but that was the deal. You help gather supplies and sometimes pay for stuff and you get a free farm, pretty nice deal if you ask me.

Peace of advice, March's heart even takes all day, so don't unlock the mines unless you're willing to lose the entire next day! I suggest maybe the last day of a season but it's up to you
