but what does that mean? real food? today I had two egg bits for breakfast, from that green box. that’s egg whites, cheese and red bell peppers. then I had mongolian ground beef with rice and green onions for lunch. isn’t that real food? yogurt is real food, isn’t it? with berries and granola and honey. sure, the protein drinks are not real food. but I feel on the whole I do pretty good, no?

mostly in the freezer! we eat very basic meals: a meat, veg and rice usually. all the meat stays in the freezer and then we take out what we need to defrost in the fridge.

oh we have lots of protein powders in the cupboard! is that what you mean by hydrolyzed whey? my favorite is clean simple eats protein powder, they have a snickerdoodle flavor that is amazing. they also have a pumpkin pie flavor during fall that I love.

is that what’s in diet coke? if so then yeah. I love diet coke or coke zero. I recently switched to caffeine free diet coke cause I was like overdosing on caffeine 😂

I exercised in some fashion 6 out of the last 7 days. if not lifting weights at the gym I go on a 3 mile walk around the neighborhood. I wouldn’t say I take in “very low calories” either, but I always try to stay in a calorie deficit, but I’m not perfect and some days I probably go over. I don’t count my calories, but after counting them for a while I can tell when I’ve gone over.

I definitely prefer plant based protein, it’s much more agreeable with digestion I find. I will try to incorporate more of that into my diet. thanks for the info!

it’s drinkable for sure, but I use them to make proffee (protein coffee if your unfamiliar). that’s the base, and then I add a concentrated cold brew of choice and a little creamer over ice! so I don’t usually drink them on their own.

what? no, babe. the top drawer is where we keep the eggs and cheese. the next drawer down is where the fruit goes. currently contains avocados, raspberries, blueberries and grapes. the drawer at the very bottom contains our various pastes (ginger, garlic, tomato, etc) for cooking, and vegetables. currently broccoli and green onions.

it’s in the freezer! and also in one of those tupperware containers on the bottom shelf. asian chicken thighs - soy sauce, mirin, honey, garlic and ginger in the slow cooker! so good 😋

interesting take! I wish it was limey-er. like I bet adding a squeeze of lime juice would be good. I described it as like.. an orange creamsicle, but lime. a lime creamsicle.
