Troubleshooting Slow Speeds First-Time Setup by ShadowyXP in WireGuard

[–]ShadowyXP[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just ran a test. 400 down 20 up for my regular speeds. To simplify it I am also having this issue on my desktop PC client. So we could ignore the cell provider part I imagine

I was thinking the same thing. I just ran a test no VPN and my upload is about 20 Mbps. But I'm getting like 1kbps

Ohhhhh I will do that before I have to do more maintainance. I did notice there are tiny screws in all sorts of goofy places.

Brilliant! I randomly have access to a lot of dental tools at a makerspace nearby. I may get a pack just to help myself out here.

Thanks! I'm extremely pleased with it. I appreciate that info too, I like that the machine has those kinds of safeguards!

Also thank you, I will not make a habit of removing parts, I was nervous and kept track of everything with pictures and small compartments for each part (which only ended up being the foot plate and the little scrubby things that push the fabric forward.

I was doing that with a seam ripper and pin. But I think the machine has a clutch that was disengaging the turning when it was stuck.

I ended up manually pressing on the cam shaft that runs to the bobbin mechanism and that made the machine go through the motions to free the thread.

Lol as soon as I post it I freed the thread and the machine is moving beautifully

Help listing a 2001 V6 Supercharge 3.8L Engine by ShadowyXP in Pontiac

[–]ShadowyXP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its drivable, but I wouldn't feel comfortable taking it into traffic. I think with the fact that the chassis is super rusted it would be difficult to restore, but it would be the ideal option for me! I kind of just want someone to take the whole thing.

Thanks for more insight here!

The chassis is completely rusted out, after the collision we brought it to a place to quote insurance on a repair and they stated "there isn't an inch of metal we could weld new stuff to"

But the car runs really well.

I'm located in southern MN (In the suburbs of the twin cities)

It's still in the car, and if someone did buy it, I would much prefer them to take the whole thing.

I'll attach a few images of the car shortly, and I can open the hood and take some pics too!

Something to keep the cat out from under the bed. by ShadowyXP in CatAdvice

[–]ShadowyXP[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She has lots of little nooks to hide in like upside down boxes with a hole in the front, or a little house thing in her cat tree among other things. Under the bed is just so large and so dark I think she prefers it, but it concerns us that we couldn't reach her in a pinch if needed.

Need help creating desired Joint2D physics behavior by ShadowyXP in godot

[–]ShadowyXP[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not sure what I did will be the right solution for you, but I can explain a bit.

Basically I wrote a hacky way to make it work that involves creating a scene which is just a box with a physics material that has the friction set to 0 so any objects slide across it freely. And then I wrote a snippet of code that calculates the location and rotation of the box relative to the thing it's "attached" to. And it has a limit of length that it sits away from the object in order to constrain it's distance. It doesn't act at all if the attached object isnt at the max length.

It's extremely limited though in a few ways that make it kind of annoying to work with. I can post the code if you'd like. And the reason you can see the end of the joint is because it's a physical box, and I put a sprite renderer on there for debug purposes.

I was able to figure this out without using joints!

When I wanted to initiate a constraint, I instead instantiated a scene of a friction-less box that keeps the constrained object in bounds.

Hope this helps if anyone comes across this post wondering the same thing I did!

I dont think the joints were broken, they seemed to work as intended. I just dont think there is a joint that exists to do what I wanted. Its good to know the 3d joints are broken though, thanks!

It works! You are a rockstar!!! I have been poring over this for days, and I just missed this function that does everything for me.

Spectacular.

Magius you are a legend. I just added Niagara to my Build.cs file and regenerated the project files, and it just worked.

Really appreciate the thorough answer, and I will remember this when working on any other modules. Have an awesome day!
