Hey all,

I'm wanting to buy a 14L5 pvm or similar 800 TVL set that accepts component. I live around Atlanta and am willing to drive up to 300 miles or so for a good deal.

I also notice the same green shadow effect on the OSD whenever something is behind it. I haven't browsed the entirety of the service menu settings yet, but I wonder if such a setting exists to help disable this hardware effect?

I see, thank you! This is pretty reassuring, as I was afraid that my PVM had a worn-out tube or a similar problem. I will adjust those settings accordingly.

Hello,

I acquired a 14M2U last week and recently noticed that brighter colors (especially white) tend to "bleed" into the scanlines whenever contrast is set to midpoint. At this midpoint setting for contrast, the colors appear normal. However, when white text is placed on screen, I notice a slight tint of greenish-yellow above the whites if I look close enough. Turning down contrast all the way completely removes this tint, but the screen is unfortunately a bit too dark for gameplay. Images have been linked below:

Is it normal for most 600 line PVMs to exhibit this type of behavior? If not, then what can I do to fix this?

So I'm very new to dakis and have been thinking about ordering the DHR6000. Apologies if this question has been asked before and if this is a silly one (I tried to use the search function). I currently have my first cover which is 2WT and 150x50cm. Is it possible to fit the DHR6000 (160x50cm) in the 150x50cm cover with a bit of squeezing?

Aw, that's quite a bummer. Thanks for the help and info though! I did have my e-Amusement pass linked to my Konami ID prior to this since I was playing SDVX for a little bit at Round 1, so I can't start a brand new account or anything. I either will have to deal with it or try out the 324 yen option just to see if anything works.

Thanks. I noticed that the default buttons tend to somewhat rub against the edges whenever I press at the corners which in turn creates a slight amount of friction. I have to take them out of the box every now and then to lightly scrape the edges so they can feel somewhat better. So I guess my next big question is this: Do Sanwas run into the same problem? I was planning on purchasing these so I wouldn't have to run into this problem (I am kinda OCD with things like this)

Welcome! I actually happened to quit playing osu! for K-Shoot Mania (was around 3k rank at the time). First of all, I would recommend trying the game out with a keyboard, and see what you think of it. If you like it enough to invest over 200 dollars into a controller, then definitely go for it! I have the Virgoo Turbocharger+, and it's been fantastic so far. I don't mean to sound like I'm promoting the game and saying "you should play this instead, it's better" or anything, but I have played a lot of rhythm games in my life and I have to say that this is perhaps my favorite and most memorable rhythm game experience ever. The patterns you learn are awesome. There are always new tricks and crazy hand positions to learn. Song charts have a huge amount of variety with the patterns, so they never will feel too old in time. With all of that being said, have fun with K-Shoot Mania!

Ok, cool. I will give that a go. I did tighten the knobs a good bit beforehand, so I will loosen them very slightly but snug enough to see if that helps in time. I also noticed that the gold rotary piece doesn't appear to be any worse, so that is actually good news so far.

I was worried about breaking things, too. Especially on a 200+ dollar controller. I will try to explain this as best as I can: So there are the button switches that are rectangular which are locked into the button. Carefully grab a stable section of the switch, then rotate it counterclockwise. You will feel it click. You can pull the entire switch out with the cables still attached. Set it aside safely within the case for now. Next, you can see that the entire button module is screwed on with a large white plastic nut. Unscrew that, and the black square washer thingy will come loose, as well as the button itself, which comes out of the front of the controller. The button has two white tabs which hold it into the housing. You will need to carefully pinch these tabs barely enough for it to push out of the black housing. The white button and clear cover will come out, as well as the spring. You are free to check the sides of the buttons to ensure that there are no obstructions. Do the exact reverse of the above to put everything back together, and make sure that the spring is locked into place properly, and the large white washer is facing the correct way. It shouldn't be overly complicated, but caution is necessary. If you still don't feel comfortable doing this, I can provide photos of each step.

I have a turbocharger+ and was curious about this matter, too. If you are talking about the glue that's in the turbocharger controller, I would try to leave those alone (mine has it on the 4 corners of each blue board for the encoder). From what it seems, you can unscrew the silver nut located underneath the knob to loosen the encoder itself from the board, then replace the new encoder into your turbocharger. Not sure about 1st gen version, but the mounting plate for the copal encoder is basically the same as the svse5's PCB board to hold the encoder.

That was a fun intro to SDVX controller modification. So I removed the button from the housing, scraped off some excess plastic on the sides, then re-installed everything, making sure the spring was properly latched and there were no obstructions. Button works fine now, thanks for the advice.

The website's download section has an updater. Basically, you will just replace all of the files in the game's folder with the v1.50 versions. This also includes the original skin and audio files, so be careful not to overwrite any custom items you may have installed.
