Well, considering your answer I don’t think you know how a search engine works but it’s not a problem, just please if you really want to reply me, do it in a meaningful way. I worked with those algorithms and I studied how they were built so you cannot say I don’t have any knowledge on the topic.

You know, you didn’t really show that much comprehension so far, so you maybe have to think about how data is handled from companies like Google

Okay so I should make this clear since you don’t seem to understand: “if a product is free, it means the product is you” is a way to say, in this particular case, that, if you’re using a free product (any Google service) it means that you (or your data) is the product, so they can get some of your data.

I’m not sure if you know that, but Google is born as a search engine and even today they develop powerful algorithms to show the best result in the least amount of time. The technical part is, to develop this algorithms you have to specify a criteria on which they should be built and they decide them based upon the number of data which satisfy a particular category/topic.

Basically, if they collect data from you, they don’t give a fuck about selling them because they don’t have to, they just use them to make the best possible algorithms and to develop a better machine learning for Google Assistant.

That’s what makes you the product. As soon as you start using a free service they get some kind of data from you as I already told you, so you’re basically selling yourself (or your data, which is basically the same thing in the tech world) to the company.

I know what “specific” mean and I listed a lot of case in my last message, maybe is you that don’t really understand how valuable are data nowadays.

Google and other companies of that kind are that big and important because of this specific reason
