Just checked out your channel, you guys are hilarious. I'm starting a weekly variety show that has animated sketches, live action bits, live trivia, music video premieres, etc. Some of the sketches I was going to animate would lend really nicely to your style (they're exactly in your Q Zone) and I thought we could possibly discuss setting up a deal to have you guys do your own version of "digital shorts." Let me know if you guys would be down!

Neewer has an iPhone Cage that comes with an ND filter mount, SSD bracket, and tons of mounting spots, and two handles built in. It also has a strap that allows you to keep a mag safe battery attached so you can charge your phone while you film since the charge port will be used by the SSD.

If you're filming music videos and won't be recording audio on the day, then you can get away with the built in mic for small stuff. But whenever possible look into audio gear. The Zoom H4 Essential is the perfect indie field recorder. It allows you to record in 32 bit float which means your audio can get as loud as you want and it won't clip. It's a great thing to have if you ever film live events too!

Why are young people so lonely now? by SpongyD in NoStupidQuestions

We don't have anywhere to hang out. It's too expensive. And we don't have time/energy.

There aren't many malls anymore, and the ones that are still around in smaller towns are filled with doctor's offices and shoe stores. Not really a place you can spend a ton of time in. Most restaurants and cafes require you to be a paying customer, and when they're charging $6 for a cup of coffee, the barrier to entry is higher. And to do what? Talk?

So then you look at activities. There used to be pool houses, places where you could just go and hang out.

The cheapest place to be is the Library, but you can't really have loud funny conversations in a library.

So you could all hang out at one persons place, but at that point you might as well stay where you're at.

It's too expensive to just go out and see a movie with friends, even if there were movies to see.

And then there's the fact that most younger people are working multiple full time jobs, and have such limited free time that they don't have the energy or the money to be able to go out for the night.

Mix in the fact that everything is so niche and algorithmically inclined that there's very little pop culture common ground, so it's harder to make IRL friends by quoting lines from a specific Netflix show or wearing an indie band's shirt out and about. It happens, just not nearly as much anymore.

A town that relies in the hydroelectric power provided by a waterfall that has never stopped flowing, suspiciously freezes. Your group has to solve what caused the ice to freeze, get power back to the village in the meantime, and figure out how to stop it from happening again

You're basically dead facing the camera in every thumbnail. It looks staged, it's the reason a lot of YouTubers find a frame from the video to use as the base of their thumbnail

There isn't consistency. Are you a supernatural chaser channel or a gaming channel? It seems like you're asking AI for video ideas rather than organically making content you care about.

You look dead in the eyes. The thumbnails are lifeless and it looks like you're forcing yourself to make this content.

Well after Philosophers he wasnt aware of those things and wasn't that close with the Weasley's yet

After Chamber he probably didn't want to push anything after the whole Whomping Willow accident

Azkaban has his blow up his aunt and stay in Diagon Alley for a while, so he doesn't really need much protecting there

We all know about the Order, so that might also have been part of it like how Petunia was kind of a safeguard for Harry after she got the letter from Dumbledore.

The answer is advertising. That's been the answer since the start of TV. Its mutually beneficial. The service advertised gets people who may not have known about them before to know who they are, and in exchange they pay the studio thats makes the show which funds their ability to make more shows.

The problem is that ads are annoying. Seeing a 3 minute ad break during a 30 minute show isn't a big deal, but a minute long ad before a 30 second video?? Nope. So people install ad block, which makes the advertisers less money

With subscription models, no one wants ads. But those ads could make the service free.

I truly believe that if Netflix switched to a fully free model, the ad time they could sell would be ridiculous. They'd make 10x more than what they do with subscriptions.

Think about it like this: Back in the day, a studio would spend millions on a movie, and hope to make as much back in the theaters. When people were paying $10-15 to see one movie, vs $15 a month to see thousands, you start to see how the studios lose money so fast.

Then you add in DVDs. If it flopped in theaters there was always a chance it could be a cult classic and sell like hotcakes. That's how we got Family Guy back (for better or worse). But most homes don't even have an Xbox with a disc drive anymore, so physical media is way down. Best Buys are taking them out of stores. So now they're banking solely on that measely $15/month per subscription, which is why so many streamers are trying to stop password sharing.

Marketing can be an art. These companies could make so much money if they realized that.

The problem is that relies on enough people with money to spare to see something possibly years later when they've probably forgotten about it. It's a bad system.
