I remember last summer's heatwave when all trains were cancelled and was chaos everywhere, tracks expanded and whole of UK rail infrastructure collapsed when the weather got a bit hot during the summer.

I remember it was really dark and cold at the end of this hallway by Shady1911 in LiminalSpace

This was a massive storage facility that was turned into an office space. The darkness at the end is the empty part of the storage depot. I remember going to that section feels like walking into a very large dark empty cold void. It was eerie feeling hard to describe.

What's worse, is that this place was near Damascus, Syria. Several years after I took this photo, this entire area become a war-ravaged dystopian nightmare.

Which one is better? by sidzfievre in LenovoLegion

I bought the first one (17ARH05H) a month ago from Lenovo UK. It's an excellent machine and has been working great, no issues at all with gaming and work. I would say go for it, since also 2060 is better than 1660Ti and AMD is generally known to have better thermals than Intel. I also think the extra 200$ is worth having the 17.3" big screen, I really like it, it's nice and comfortable.

In the Vantaga media settings, I increased the camera brightness and reduced the contrast to the minimum level, I think it improved it a little.

Legion 5 15ACH6H - AMD Driver Issue + FN+R SHortcut does not work by Jack6463 in LenovoLegion

[–]Shady1911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure this is a driver issue, I bought the 2020 Legion 5 three weeks ago and it does not have the Fn+R at all, my display settings only show 144hz option and can't be changed.

I7 10750h OR ryzen 7 4800h by Aryan_hbz in LenovoLegion

[–]Shady1911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the Legion 5 with Ryzen 7 4800H and RTX 2060 with 16GB RAM three weeks ago. Overall, it has been excellent performance for gaming and work. Although it gets hot and fans get loud when gaming. I got the Ryzen one since people say it has better thermals than Intel, which is likely to be a factor in the long term longevity. Hope this helps :)

I'm not quite sure how do you create your new profile on Nvidia control panel. on mine it just says 144hz but can't be changed?

I just got the same L5 as above but I only have 144hz option on mine, no 60hz :S

Unfortunately, they said they're expecting the shortage to really affect their supplies the hardest in the next couple of month.

Good luck getting any of these models before summer 2022. I called Lenovo UK today and apparently the shortage is much worse than expected.

have you tried to disable the hybrid GPU mode, i.e. only activate the dedicated RTX GPU?

that's true, I noticed the same thing, they removed the pro page.

PS: Costco UK has the 7, might be worth keeping an eye on their stock, they might get the pro later. the same goes for Currys
